I was looking for a cordless compact impact driver to recommend to a colleague and found this Makita 2-tool set to be a real bargain. For $160 via Amazon, you get a compact 10.8V driver, a compact 10.8V impact driver, 2 batteries, charger, and an aluminum case.

My first instinct was to recommend the venerable Bosch PS-40, but for about same price you get two equally as reputable Makita tools. According to Google Shopping, the average price on this set is $190, with quite a few stores selling the combo for more than $200.

    I purchased this kit earlier this year from Amazon for about a $100. It was a used, factory refurbished kit. A great set for sure.

    This set sells for $179.00 at local home depots. I have seen it as low as $159 but never jumped on it then. I already have this set but would love to have another for in the house vs garage. They are extremely handy and I haven’t use another drill since!
