Bosch has recently added yet another tool, the PS70-2A metal shear, to its 12V Max line of lithium-ion powered compact cordless tools.
With a mere 10″ length, 2.3″ height, and 3lb weight, this cordless shear is fairly compact and lightweight, and should be comfortable to use over-head.
This tool is capable of cutting metal up to 18ga thick (presumably this means steel), and aluminum up to 12ga thick. It can cut straight lines as well as curves, and is able to cut holes as small as 1/2″ in diamater.
The PS70-2A kit includes the tool with two batteries, a 30 minute charger, one blade set, one feeler gauge, an allen key, and a carrying case.
Priced at about $350, this is certainly not the cheapest powered shear, but it is also far from being the costliest.
