New Amazon Tool Deals (and They Don’t Suck!)

Bosch Worm Drive Circular Saw

As part of my morning routine, I checked out Amazon’s tool deals page. I was expecting to see the same so-so deals from before, and was pleasantly surprised to see some new ones, and ones I’d take advantage of.

Here’s a quick list of the new deals that caught my attention:

Bosch Worm Drive Circular Saw: $140 (reg. $209)
Bosch 6″ Dual-Mode Random Orbit Sander/Polisher: $225 (reg. $290)
CAT 19-drawer tool storage combo: $999 (“was” $1352)
Tekton 1/2″ drive click-style torque wrench: $30

Bosch 12V Max cordless combo kits on sale (so-so, but worth mentioning)
Ingersoll Rand W7150 1/2″ Hi-Torque Impact Wrench Kit: $233 ($318 elsewhere)
Bosch deep-cut band saw w/ angle grinder: $255 (saw-only is $289)
Ingersoll Rand: Save up to 57% on select tools

See what I mean? Not bad.

They don’t seem to be one-day deals, but I can’t see any expiration dates or anything like that. They could be quantity-limited. Or they could be month-long deals that are expected to carry through the rest of the holiday shopping season. With deals like these, I tend to have a “buy first, think it over later” gut feeling.

Been eyeing this M12 2 speed screwdriver for a while. Price dropped today as well.

Basically drill like specs with a hex chuck.

Keep in mind that Amazon is not an authorized Milwaukee retailer, and you’re actually getting it from a 3rd party seller there too. The bare tool is 119 at Acme, with the $20 off $100 (MILW2017) that makes it $99, then 6.something flat rate shipping brings it to like $105. Cheaper than Amazon there, and you’re getting it from an authorized retailer, should you ever need warranty service.

I meant to say same price as Amazon :D. And it’s in stock today, you’d probably have it by the 11th when amazon gets that one in stock.

Some 3rd party sellers could be authorized dealers.

Amazon has been selling some Milwaukee tools directly, and nobody has any idea where they’re coming from.

I have an m12 screwdriver and love it. My most used cordless tool. I bought the 2 speed fuel one you listed after having the brushed version for a long time. Ended up liking the brushed version better. I still use it professionally and use the fuel version at home. The fuel has more power, but I liked the brushed versions single speed better. Speed one on the fuel brushless felt too slow and speed two felt two fast. The single speed model is in-between and just right for me. I also like that the clutch-off direct-drive mode is just the last clutch setting instead of a separate switch like the fuel version. It’s also better on battery life than the fuel one. Both are great tools though.

Is 4.75″ a good cut size for a portable band saw? Are there attachments to possibly add it to a stand?

You might check with SWAG if it will fit their stand:

The IR bit intrigues me – I have a lust for their battery 3/8’s ratchet device. But I don’t want a seperate battery system. (why I want MAC to make one that run on the 20V platform)

but I know the IR is a good piece o Kit.

If you have any contacts at Bosch, can you find out why they sell the gimped version and not this one with amazing stand in the US?

For whatever reason Bosch treats the USA market as a poor relation when it comes to many of their tools. On some it may be intellectual property issues, on others maybe they have issues with getting past out litigious nature and/or getting UL or other necessary approvals. Some tools that are fine for use in the EU (like combination miter/table saws) are verboten here – while we can sell dado sets here – but the Europeans seem to have made them verboten.

When I clicked on the link for the Amazon deals on my phone that was listed above, it rerouted me to my Amazon app. On the app, it has all of the expiration dates for each of these deals listed below the picture. However, when I click on the link on my computer, the expiration date is nowhere to be found!

Just thought I’d throw that out there if anyone wants to see the expiration dates for these deals.

(Bosch Wormdrive deal ends December 24)
