That’s right, the August ToolGuyd Tool Giveaway is now into overtime. We’ve been having difficulty finding a winner for a brand new Gearwrench ratcheting screwdriver set. So… it’s up for grabs again. Leave a comment to enter the overtime giveaway.
In order for you to be eligible, leave a comment that either tells us i) what you would use the tool set for, or ii) how awesome you think ToolGuyd is for giving away cool swag.
Multiple comments are welcome, but they won’t increase your chance of winning. The drawing will be random and a winner will be selected on Monday, Sept. 14th. We will only ship to USA or Canadian addresses.
As with all of the other items given away as part of the August Giveaway, this set was purchased via a retail store and is not sponsored by any 3rd party.

Um, yeah its cool! Considor me in the drawing! I would use it for work at the shop!

Dude! The other day I was taking the carb off my 65 Mustang and it sure would have been nice to have this… With a flexible shaft or u-joint attachment it would have saved me 20+ minutes. I’d love to have one of these for putting the carb back on! Sign me up!
That ratcheting screwdriver set looks awesome. I really like how it has the what-look-to be extensions and T handle. I think that would come in really handy. Plus the nice case to hold it means everything would stay together.
Could have used that a few days ago — thanks for the great site.
Can’t get those up here in Canada. Our Sears is very different (Craptacular in fact). You guys get all the cool tools down there. This would be the perfect set to keep in the “home fixin stuff” toolbox . . . if it were available here.
I could use that set!
Looks like the perfect set for around-the-house stuff like electrical wallplates, hanging pictures, etc.
With this marvellous screwdriver set, I can make my lovely wife very happy (and we all know, a happy wife makes a very happy man). She’s always borrowing my tools – screwdrivers and hammers in particular – to fiddle with something or other (better than the butter knife, I suppose). Trouble is, she rarely puts them back. I find them on the China cabinet, top of the fridge, kitchen windowsill, key shelf, whereever she deems “handy”. Then she cleans up and moves them all again to another secret location. This would let us both have a wonderful screwdriver set for use around the home, leaving my garage tools where I know they should be.
I love my Snap-on ratcheting screwdriver & that set looks like it would be perfect for the motorcycle!

I would put it in my wife’s new minivan she just bought. Would come in handy.
The ratcheting screwdriver has been high on my list of gotta-haves for a while now. And the Gearwrench version always gets high marks.
Kudos on the monthly give-aways. Spread the joy.
Would be a perfect gift for my BIL. My sister will not allow by BIL to buy tools! haha!
Any gifts, especially tools, during the financial hard times is very welcomed.
I have been wanting that set. I figure it would be perfect for all the little project stuff and home improvement stuff I do because you have all the little bits you need in the box, plus the sockets and you have both screwdriver handles to choose from.
getting free stuff is cool. it even better when what you get for free is something that really need, and the ultimate in cool is when you get a tool you need for free
bob
I don’t a ratcheting screwdriver, but it seems like a tool that once I do own will have limitless uses. If I win, I’ll let you know what I end up using it for. Oh yes, this is a pretty awesome offer.
That set looks like a great way to test out the Gearwrench brand. I have family in Taiwan, and It would be neat to have some high quality tools from there, too.
That set looks as if it could be ideal for small stuff like removing dashboards and in-dash electronics. Right now I’m using 1/4 inch drive sockets and bits, and I have to choose between a ratchet and a screwdriver handle.
Thanks for the give-away!
I can use the Gearwrench Ratheting Screwdriver for just about everything under the hood…clamps, air cleaner, hoses. What a great give-away by ToolGuyd!
Awesome set and I really need ratcheting screwdriver!!!
Good luck to everyone in the draw!
Cant edit my other comment but I forgot to mention
the first thing i would use this set for would to be to install some wing tips!
I would use this tool set on my 1961 VW Single Cab I am working on. Doing my first VW Bus brake job and the more tools at my disposal the better! I am just building up my tool collection so I sure need A LOT! hehehe

Today is my 14th wedding anniversary and I just know my wife would love to get me a set of these. But if she did, I think I would turn right around and give them to my 8 year old son as his first real tool set. He can’t wait for me to get the room addition done so we can get the garage cleaned out and pull his ’65 Mustang coupe inside and start working on it.
I don’t often get to spend money on tools, but I appreciate the ToolGuyd site for keeping me informed of great deals and the unbiased reviews on the site, unlike so many car magazines have reviews on car products.
Thanks Stuey!!!!!
Nice set, would go good with the other set I have that is missing some bits that broke.
Love the website
ToolGuyd is awesome for giving away cool swag! Plus it would be nice to have this set to use with my 10 year old son so that we may complete several ongoing projects.
Stuey,
would love to have that set for work… would save several trips back to the toolbox at the other end of the shop… thanks for the great site and the bargain updates… you’ve saved me a fortune and helped fill my box..

Really Nice set of tools. Would be my first set of Gearwrench tools as I am slowly building my collection and Gearwrench is kinda out of my price range at this time. Not really sure what I would use them for but I’m sure I’d find something to use them on. Great site Stuey.
Thanks Rick
I had never been to this site until now…I need to bookmark this to check on a regular (daily) basis.
And…awesome tool. I had never seen those until now.. and can see numerous uses for this. My ever helpful wife bought me a kit with a ratcheting screwdriver…and the ratchet portion doesn’t work. I found this out not with a garage project…but while adding a Bigsby tremolo to a Fender Telecaster.
There’s no doubt that for all sorts of things…this would be very helpful.
Now…I hafta run…I need to checl the rest of this site!
Thanks for the generous offer!
I’d use it on my car, tractor, etc. I love gear wrench stuff!
I work in a Special needs school with many children in wheelchairs. Hardly a day goes by that I am not doing a repair, adjustment or fabrication. The toolset would really come in handy.
I would use it for around the house fixes and just general use stuff. Keep up the good work on the site.
I also, would love this set. Saw your post on GJ, and couldn’t resist taking a look!
man that set would look nice in my box
and in my hands when im using it
i’d love to have these to add to my other screwdrivers for little home projects, I don’t have anything like this, and I would surely put them to good use!! They would go to a good home and be taken good care of!!! Thanks for the opportunity!!
Whoa…cool to see this came up again on ToolGuyd. Came over from a post on GJ. Did some work on my Impala last month and would have loved to have a set like this. Thanks for putting the giveaway together!
These gearwrench sets are really great and worth every penny. Great giveaway item.
I have neuropathy in my hands and feet. I have been slowly remaking my tool collection with tools that are easier on my fingers. This tool looks like I could use my palm to apply all the force, saving my fingers some stress and pain. Plus I like the design . . .
I must be living in a cave. I have never see these. They look neat
Saw your post at Garage Hangout and decided I better hustle over and toss my name in the hat. Looks like a very handsome set. I hope I win.
Well I have to post again since I failed to read the instructions. I think this set might be very handy getting to some out of the way places, plus, it is way cool that Stuey is giving up the goods like this!
You rock, Stuey…what a great and generous thing to do with your site!
Apart from the obvious utility the kit has, the compact packaging and diverse pieces will fit nicely in my car for roadside repairs and normal garage wrenching.
And I’ll use it to help teach my daughters the way of the gearhead.

being disabled, I’m always on the lookout for tools that will speed up or make things easier for those who help me. This looks like just the set. Not to mention I’ll be able to keep track if any pieces go missing.
Excellent that Canadian addresses will now be considered for these excellent give-aways!
Gracias Stuey…
Cool Tool!
It could be used for rebuilding carburetors,or fixing the pesky garbage disposal, or just look cool standing ready in the top of your tool box!
Wow would this tool ever be handy. I would keep it in my beer fridge. It would make cleaning the lines so much easier! I could ratchet off the hose clamps on the tubing instead of using a 14″ adjustable!
Great Site Stuey.
Looks like a great kit for small jobs around the house. Would keep it at the ready in the kitchen rather than having to run to the tool box just to do a quick repair.
Work in radio communication systems and would be handy around all the equipment with all the socket sizes and bits. The ratcheting handles would make it easier to disassemble and install/remove equipment and all in a easy to carry case.
It looks like a great set for the boat, goldwing, or fixing friends harleys….
Thanks
Tim
This would be a great set for my son follows me around as I work in the garage. He’ll try to fix his bike while I work on the truck or car.
Thanks
Loren
Dad’s B-day is coming up.
BIG MONEY, NO WHAMMIES, NO WHAMMIES ……STOP!
I’ve got a truck sitting in my driveway that needs much of the cab interior reinstalled; seats, guages, switches, door panels, trim pieces, etc, etc. Thats a lot of screws and small bolts…the perfect job for a ratcheting screwdriver set. Oh yeah—Stuey rocks!
I’m always on the lookout for a versatile screwdriver set.
That would be a great set for around the house, for repairs, remodels, assembly of presents, ect. Thanks for the chance Stuey!
Perfect set to go in the camper trailer. Always find something loose on long trips. Or the generator carb needs cleaning or bicycles need adjustments….man just a good all in one tool set.
Thanks guys
Wow, that would be nice…..
I’m drooling already!
If I had this, my husband would be jealous.
Sign me up!!
Love what you’re doing here Stuey.
Oops, forgot to say what I’d use for—small gas repair, cars, tractors, endless possibilities.
Great site, I added it to my google reader.
-Joe
Awesome Giveaway!!! I would use that for everything! Especially cars and my drums and guitar!
This would be really handy in the garage. I am restoring a Corvette and could see using it quite a bit on that project.
Third post’s the charm
Hey Stuey!
Great site as always – I know for a FACT that if I bought this, my other rathcheting screwdriver might stop disappearing from my toolbox! I would absolutely regift this to the woman!
I’d most likely use the following set as a mobile tool kit to service my Dirtbike(s) while riding the trails in NJ’s pine barrens.
A winner has been selected at random and has been notified. Their name will be announced along with the other winners once they accept the prize.
Thank you to everyone for you comments/entries! Don’t forget to keep commenting when the mood strikes – there will be more giveaways in the future!
