Cordless power tool battery packs are the lifeblood of many of our tools, but they often cost so darned much. While the biggest and latest battery packs are not often on sale, we came across quite a few deals worth mentioning.
Well, that’s not entirely accurate. We didn’t just come across these deals, we hunted and scoured, and spent half a Sunday morning looking for the best battery deals out there.
From Dewalt to Milwaukee, Bosch to Ridgid, here are the best cordless battery pack deals for the 2016 holiday season.
There is at least one Black Friday 2016 deal mixed in, and I also found a couple of starter kit deals worth mentioning. If you know of any other cordless tool battery deals, please let us know!
Dewalt 20V Max 3.0Ah 2-Pack
Dewalt’s 20V Max 3.0Ah battery 2-pack is priced at $97 at Amazon, and $99 at Home Depot.

You get a charger, 20V Max to 18V adapter, and 2x 2.0Ah Li-ion battery packs, for $119.
Home Depot’s price is $149, and although their $25 off $100+ Dewalt promo does apply to this starter kit, unlike at Amazon, the final price is still higher, at $124.
Dewalt 18V XRP 2-Pack
Umm… are people still buying Dewalt 18V XRP NiCad battery packs? If you need to give some older tools new life, this 2-pack is priced at $99.
Bosch 12V Max and L-Boxx Starter Kit
With Bosch’s 12V Max starter kit, you get a charger, (2) 2.0Ah battery packs, and an L-Boxx that can be used to store your first Bosch 12V tool purchases (some larger tools excluded).
This starter kit is regularly priced at $69, and is a good bargain. But, unlike last year, this year it’s eligible for Amazon’s $25 off $100+ promo! You can buy some small cordless tools or power tool accessories to get over the $100 threshold, or buy two starter kits for $113.
Bosch 18V and L-Boxx Starter Kit
Bosch’s 18V starter kit is a similarly good deal. For $119 you get a charger, (2) 2.0Ah battery packs, and a deeper L-Boxx-2.
AND it too is eligible for Bosch’s $25 off $100+ promo, giving you a final price of $94.
Milwaukee M18 XC 3.0Ah 2-Pack
Home Depot is offering a steeper discount on Milwaukee’s M18 XC 3.0Ah battery packs this year. A 2-pack will cost you $99.
Milwaukee M12 XC 2-Pack
There are 2-packs of Milwaukee M12 XC battery packs on display in Home Depot’s tool gift center. The Black Friday price has been $69 a few years in a row, and we’re fairly sure that price will return this year too.
Makita 18V Starter Kit
But you can also pick up their new starter kit, which comes with Makita’s usual rapid charger and a newer 4.0Ah battery pack that features a built-in fuel gauge.
It’s $119 at Home Depot and Amazon.
Makita 18V 3.0Ah Battery 2-Pack
If you already have a charger and just want some extra battery packs, you can buy a (2) pack of 3.0Ah battery packs for around $100 at Amazon.
And don’t forget about Makita’s early holiday deal – $25 off $100+ select purchases at Amazon. Neither of these products are eligible for the added discount though.
Ridgid 18V 5.0Ah 2-Pack
Last year, Ridgid’s 18V 5.0Ah battery pack was on sale for $99, from its regular price of $119.
This year, you can get 2 for $129. Nice!

Kobalt 24V Max 1.5Ah Li-ion Battery Pack
$10 for a Kobalt 24V Max Li-ion battery pack with 1.5Ah charge capacity. I can’t imagine how they’re able to price these so low. Looks like someone got a huge discount on 1.5Ah battery cells!
