Kershaw E.T. External Toggle Knife

Kershaw E.T. External Toggle Knife Kershaw’s E.T. external toggle knife is one sleek looking blade. Relatively lightweight at 3.7 ounces, the E.T. features a 6061-T6 anodized aluminum handle, and 3-1/4″ Sandvik 13C26 stainless steel blade with a bead-blasted finish. These are decent specs, but what really sets this knife apart from ordinary pocket folders is its unique toggle mechanism.

Quick Change Lock-Back Utility Knives

Quick Change Lock-Back Utility Knives While Stanley’s QuickSlide knife is by far my favorite utility knife, there are several other styles of knives that I occasionally use, such as the pictured lock-back knife. Lock-back utility knives are very quick and easy to open, and are extremely compact for easy stowing.

Sog Micron Keychain Knife

Sog Micron Keychain Knife The Sog Micron is a very, very tiny knife. With its 1.5″ blade fully extended, the Micron stretches out to a whopping overall length of 3.44″. The Micron is perfectly sized as a keychain knife, but if size is not an issue, something like the Victorinox Swiss Army Classic pocket knife would be more versatile for a [...]

The New Leatherman Freestyle – Preview

The New Leatherman Freestyle - Preview Leatherman’s new Freestyle is due to be released in May, and we are very excited. Leatherman’s Freestyle is based off of their Skeletool design, but whereas the Skeletool is a full-size tool, the Freestyle is slightly smaller and lighter, making it a more pocket-friendly tool. Full-size knife? Check. Full-size pliers? Check. “I want one now” [...]

Stanley Quickslide Utility Knife

Stanley Quickslide Utility Knife I’ve been using Stanley’s Quickslide utility knife for about two years now, and it’s still my favorite go-to knife. The Quickslide is a great knife because: i) the blade extends and retracts quickly and easily, ii) blade changes are also quick and easy, and iii) it is super-compact and can be carried comfortably in a pocket or clipped securely [...]
