Over at Sears’ Facebook page, they’re running a holiday shopping challenge sweepstakes where they’re giving away $200 Sears gifts cards every day through December 24th. All you have to do to enter is “Like” Sears on Facebook. Details about the promo can be found here.

We took part in the shopping challenge, with a mix of out-of-pocket cash and provided gift card purchases, stress-testing Sears and Sears.com, and everything went relatively smoothly.

Dremel recognizes that more and more folks are turning to DIY projects as the economy forces them to “fix up” rather than “move up” or upgrade. To help new and seasoned DIYers alike, Dremel published a “30 Minute Miracles” brochure, which offers step-by-step instructions for 10 common home repair and remodeling projects.

Dremel is also holding a contest to see who can come up with the most clever, useful, and fun DIY project that can be accomplished in 30 minutes or less. Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, and level of difficulty.

The contest’ grand prize is a $2,500 American Express gift card, with $1,000 and $500 gift card prizes going to the runners-up. The contest ends on December 31st, and the winners will be announced by February 2nd.

Our only regret is that we only had one gift card to give away. As evident from your comments, a Home Depot gift card is definitely a great Father’s Day gift idea.  The newer styled gift cards can be found in stores, and traditional gift card designs are available both in-store and online.

That’s right, Home Depot asked us to give away a $100 Home Depot gift card to one of our readers! Read on to find out how to win.

For Father’s Day, as we’ve already mentioned, Home Depot has issued new gift card designs (shown above) including one with the look and feel of duct-tape, and one which includes a free drill bit and bit sizing gauge. You can find these new gift card styles in stores, and Home Depot’s traditionally styled gift cards are also available online with free shipping.

How to Win

The giveaway is for a single $100 Home Depot gift card. To be eligible for the drawing, you must be a U.S. resident and must leave a brief comment in response to the following question.

A Home Depot gift card makes a great gift for hard-working dads, especially those with unpredictable tastes. With it in mind that you would give the $100 Home Depot gift card to your father if you won the giveaway, what would he use it to buy? Or, if you prefer, what would you use the $100 Home Depot gift card for?

The winner will be selected by a random drawing facilitated by Random.org, on Tuesday June 2nd at ~6pm EST. The winner will be contacted via email, so please provide a valid email address in the comment form. Multiple comments will not help your chances to win, although we’re always eager to hear what you have to say.

If I bought a Home Depot gift card for my father (which as of now is very likely), he would probably buy some new gardening tools and supplies. Although I’m not a father, if I were to receive a Home Depot gift card, I would use it towards a Ridgid Compressor, or possible a Ridgid spindle sander.

The winner will be contacted via email for their address and phone number, which will then be forwarded to a Home Depot representative who will then ship out the gift card. If the winner does not provide this information within one week, their eligibility will be forfeit and the drawing will be repeated.

Small Parts Inc. is raffling off a gift basket chock full of tools and accessories. To enter, all you need to do is “follow” them on Twitter by April 6th.

From the picture Small Parts posted, it looks like a PB Swiss hex key set and Xuron flush-cutters, are included in the prize basket. The 20 seconds or so that it takes to sign up for a free Twitter account is definitely worth the effort when PB Swiss and Xuron tools are involved!
