Over at Amazon, the Dremel Multi-Max oscillating tool is discounted to $84 on Amazon, which is quite a bit lower than the $100 we saw it going for the other day.
In case you were wondering, the Dremel Multi-Max along with their new 4000 series rotary tool are high up on our wish list.
While we have seen refurbished Multi-Max tools selling for a bit lower, $84 is the lowest price we’ve seen thus far for a new one.

I just saw a refurbished one on either onetooladay or tooliday for $75. So this is a pretty good deal for a new one (shipping is free too).
I also notice that the OPM is variable. As far as I can tell the original Fein doesn’t have variable speed, but I’m not positive.
Home Depot had one of these on display for the holidays. It was a plugged-in, working model. I was VERY disappointed with the speed of cutting. It was extremely slow.
It had the black, half-circle wood cutting blade, which I’m guessing was dull from all the display use.
Anyhow, it was really struggling to cut through even baseboard trim. I had to apply a lot of pressure to get it to cut.
To it’s credit, the cut was clean and precise.
