ToolGuyd does not have a forum community of its own, but there are many public message boards that we participate in and highly recommend. Registration is free and gives you the ability to participate in discussions and to create threads of your own. Non-member guests are still able to browse and read forum posts.
Following are our favorite forum communities:
Garage Journal – GJ is lively home garage-focused community choc-full of information and experience. I particularly enjoy the tool sub-forum, the largest of its kind on the web and a personal favorite.
Papaws Wrench Tool Talk – A great forum that focuses on vintage tools and restorations.
The Garage Gazette – This tool & garage forum is young, but also full of energy and experience. It’s a great hangout to talk about tools, garages, and other DIY hobbies.
LumberJocks – A very friendly and helpful woodworking forum.
EDC Forums – This Every Day Carry forum covers all types of on-the-go gear.
Candle Power Forums – CPF is a highly addicting forum all about flashlights. We should warn you – reading this forum for more than 5 minutes may induce the urge to purchase more flashlights than you’ll ever need!
Blade Forums – After the EDC forums, this is my favorite place to visit for knife reviews and discussions.
