Over at Amazon.com, the Hitachi DS12DVF3 12V drill/driver is discounted to $70. This 3/8″ drill comes with two batteries, charger, case, flashlight, and a small bit set.

Hitachi drills are very durable and relatively compact – we’ve used this drill’s 18V big brother for over two years, and it has never let us down.

    You’re right, they are NiCads. It also looks like the price jumped up about $4.
