There are times when ordinary soap and water just won’t cut the grease off your hands. In those cases, reach for a pumice-powered cleaner. Lava describes their product pretty adequately – whatever you’re into, Lava gets it out.
I prefer to use Lava bars, but they do have a liquid version available as well.

Which hand cleaners do you guys use? I will sometimes use Fast Orange & Gojo as well, and have been meaning to try Zep Cherry Bomb if I can ever find it in a small quantity.
I use Gojo on a regular basis but I also like the Lava bars.
Fast Orange. I’ve got a gallon pump jug in the garage next to the cleanup sink, another in the shop, and a third in the toolbox of my truck (next to rags-in-a-box). I used it 3 or 4 times today alone.
Gojo works too, but I like the orange scent.
Gojo all the way. Originally formulated (and still manufactured) in Akron to remove carbon black from rubber workers’ hands, it pulls off stuff that you’d never expect to come off. So far, it’s only failed at removing gorilla glue from my hands.
I use Fast Orange with pumice for heavy grease, like working on cars and motorcycles, but I prefer to use Goop when my hands are not that bad, as it does not dry out my hands as much. When I’m covered with water based paint, powdered Boraxo is my hand cleaner of choice. I wish Parr was more readily available around here, as my limited exposure to it, was a good experience
I’m also waiting to find a cherry cleaner locally, although another Permatex product, Ultra Cherry is what I’m looking for.
i use fast orange,but my grandfather swore by lava bars…i like them too,but i have a whole jug of fast orange to go thru first
All of the above. Just recently tried the cherry stuff – works ok I guess, but Orange and Gojo seem to work better to me. I usually use them with a small brush, and I’m good to go.
I love the new cherry Gojo, just bought a 2L pump bottle of it today on sale at Advance. Advance isn’t my preferred auto parts store, but they offer free oil collection… and running a one-man operation, I take advantage of that and tend to grab whatever solvent I need when I go.
