Lee Valley is holding a free shipping event now through January 3rd 2011. Here’s the announcement with full details. There is no minimum order amount, and the promo is applied automatically to orders shipped to Canada and the contiguous USA. Customers in Alaska, Hawaii, or US territories recieve a $13.50 savings on shipping.
This promo only comes around a few times a year (January, June, some Septembers), and is a great time to order little things you may have had your eye on that aren’t worth paying normal shipping for. For example, these simple brushes are fantastic, but are ordinarily only worth buying as part of a larger order.
If you’ve never shopped at Lee Valley before, you’re missing out. They have a great catalog and very good customer service.

You’re very welcome, and I do the same! So far my shopping list is at about $280-300. It makes little sense when I say it aloud – waiting to save $6-10 on a $300 order, but if I were to place smaller orders over 6 months, shipping fees would add up. That would have been $50 or so since July that I’m not going to spend on tools.
