Many Lowes stores have recently bundled $10 off $50 coupon cards with select Dewalt screwdriver bit and Pilot Point drill bit sets. Buying these sets will give you a Lowes Project Starter that is good for $10 off a future $50 purchase.
The drill bit set costs $15, and the screwdriver bit set was also less than $20. It looks like many if not all Lowes locations have put these displays up. The coupons are visible inside the sets’ plastic clam shell packaging, so they’re best left for use on a future purchase.
I have actually seen these coupons around for a long time. I got some around Christmas time, except they were packaged with some CFLs (Lowe’s off brand)
I have also recently seen these packaged in a Kobalt tool set ( I believe it was a precision screwdriver set).
Anyhow, just wanted to comment that they are not extremely rare. Lowe’s will have them packaged in some random stuff every once in a while.
They have a fairly common 10% coupon (Lowe’s movers club), but this $10 off $50 is the better deal if you are spending less than $100 (I think it makes it 20% off).
Let me clarify – I bought a package of 8 CFLs and it had a single coupon.
You’re right, they’re not rare. Another time I saw them packaged with painter’s tape. Before that, there were coupons attached to packs of AA batteries.
Every once in a while they include them in the quarterly home improvement / woodworking magazines they mail out.
