Milwaukee Spring Cyber Week Discount 2018

I wrapped up my Craftsman tool storage 2018 preview post, responded to a few emails, and was all set to get up from my desk and head back to the workshop for some quick project work, when I decided to “quickly” check my personal email.

There, at the top, was an email from Acme Tools advertising their Milwaukee Spring Cyber Week 2018 deal: 20% off Milwaukee BARE TOOL orders of $199 or more.

The deal includes M12 and M18 tools, and there don’t seem to be any noted exclusions.

Update: Readers are reporting running into some exclusions. The link below is the official deal page, showing 121 eligible bare tools.

It seems to only work on a limited subset of bare tools for me… I tried the code with the 7.25 miter bare, the M18 sander bare, the cheaper M18 radius light, the new version of the M18 vac, all in the cart, and it wouldn’t apply it to any of it. I then noticed all those tools are not in the list when you click on the ad for the coupon. Haven’t decided if I’m going to ping them about it yet or not, I don’t actually need to spend money…

The M12 lantern doesn’t work either.

Just went to buy an M12 3/8″ fuel ratchet and an M12 jig saw, but code you posted above (CYBERRED) didn’t work. However, once I removed the second “R,” it works! So the correct code is CYBERED. Thanks for the hint!!!

The discount’s on [eligible?] bare tools only, not kits.

JM, our local HD has the one key set with the 9.0 battery for $390 on clearance (it is displayed with endcap Packout drill/impact set.) and you can do the 11% rebate this week.

Definitely only works on a subset of tools. There are seven M12 tools that I want to get over the next ~6 months, and it did not work on any of them. For example the 3/8 or 1/4″ ratchets, soldering iron or right angle drill.

I figured it out. There are certainly only specific allowed bare tools in this coupon, but if you add a bunch to your cart, the cart’s system will at least tell you which ones the coupon works for as long as there are more than $199 worth of allowed tools in your cart.

For example, coupon works on bare ratchet 2557-20 but not 2457-20. Also does not work on bare tool soldering iron 2488-20.

I’ve been holding off on picking some semi-want over need M12/18 tools, one of which is the non-fuel version of the 1/4 ratchet normally I purchase the Fuel versions esp M12 but I don’t care for the beefier but larger/fatter/wider/heavier head that only delivers 10 more ft# of torque seems a poor trade off even more so when its 50% more expensive.

I would have rather seen a switched fwd/reverse (it reminds me of cheap ratchet wrench heads 15-20 years back when they switch to a slider direction control.

Honestly the smaller head can be quite noticeable with automotive work more important than 40 ft# over 30 ft# as the smaller fasteners are often in tight spots and normally not torqued to sky high levels.

So I guess , I will keep using my 3/8 with a 1/4 adapter and also hold off on the soldering iron and other want tools, seems like several others waiting for a deal on the same niche tools.

Honestly, I would value a longer 1/4′ drive head (head 8-12″ from battery and drive motor) and would pay Fuel price. But the military was the last time I wrenched on a daily basis, but even on my own POVs and rigs it’s still what I have wished for.

Thought I’d finally pick up the M12 circ saw and soldering iron. Neither were eligible. Oh well.

Just ordered the M18 radius light with ONE KEY. They have a promotion going on right now to also get a 9.0Ah starter kit with it for free. Add the 20% off to that and it was a great deal! Thanks Stuart!

i picked items from their list and it didn’t qualify. Pretty ridiculous and frustrating. They lost me on this deal today. Still looking for a few items but they made it too hard to buy stuff! Is that possible? I guess so!

It seemed pretty straight forward for me. I clicked on Stuart’s link. It brought me to a Milwaukee bare tool page – that had a noted little item in the corner that said it was showing 1-24 items out of 200 (I guess that 200 items were eligible). I scrolled down to find a 2709-20 – put it in my cart at $349 – typed in the promo cod and $69.80 came off the price. I then added a 2717-20 at $499 and $99.80 came off the top.

It looks like they have gone through and added rather significantly to the offerings on their page, the M12 circular is on there now, as is the m12 lantern, m12 jig saw, and some of the things I wasn’t able to get earlier like the vacuum are on there now too.
