Way back in August of last year, we posted about a Milwaukee router bit blowout, when the bits were selling for $5-10 each. There are still quite a few bits available at $5 and $6 each, with larger and more complex bits at $12 and up.
Most if not all of the router bits still available are 1/4″ shanked. I ordered a V-grooving bit, double flute straight bit, and a round nose bit, at $6 each, and their packaging confirms that they were made in Italy.

It doesn’t look like there’s anything wrong with these bits at all – they’re probably priced this low because they were purchased by a liquidator by the pallet. As previously mentioned, it is thought that the bits were made by Freud.
