New 18V Rechargeable MIG Welder

What you see here is the world’s first portable cordless MIG welder that is powered by a rechargeable 18V battery. This new welder features an onboard wire spool, a hot-swappable CO2 tank connector port, 2-stage trigger, heavy-duty motor and gearbox, and tool-less disassembly.

Included with the introductory kit is a charger, two starter 16g CO2 tanks, a single 18V 3.0 Amp-hour battery, and safety manual. Battery life is expected to be about 4-6 femto hours, depending on operating conditions.

We haven’t been able to dig up any pricing information for the tool, but we’re told that it should hit stores in about one year.

Credit goes to Steve, founder of the ShopNGarage forum, for the find, and for the photo he took at a recent tradeshow.

    Hi Toolguyd,
That’s been available here in Belgium since today. I’ve allready went to the “Antwerp House of Welds” and brought one home with me. The price is the most remarkable of all, only € 399 !

    Hi
I’m currently working in Afghanistan in building and construction and a couple of these little machines would be an ideal acquisition for our company here due to power limitations and accessibility.
Where could i obtain some more info as we could use these right now
    Hear from you soon

    Cheers

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Unfortunately, it looks like you neglected to check the fact sheet for this tool. If you had clicked the link, you would have seen that this tool does not exist and that this post was an April Fool’s Day joke. Sorry to disappoint.
