Porter Cable’s new Quik Jig pocket hole system has recently hit stores. If you recall, the Quik Jig is a good looking pocket hole drilling jig that Porter Cable recently came out with. The Quik Jig has been praised in early reviews for its repeatability and ease of use.
Given its $230 price tag, I hesitate to recommend it for beginners, but it looks like a great system for those who already incorporate pocket hole joinery into their woodworking projects.

The now discontinued? Kreg K3 still has my vote for the average guy. The K4 moves the clamp to the backside (problem with big, cabinet type pieces), so this may take from that. But where I see this really competing is with Kregs pnuematic or electric, mass production options, for the heavier user (not a commercial SHOP, but on site cabinetmaker).
