Reminder: Amazon’s Shopping Cart Tactics

I just wanted to offer a friendly reminder about how Amazon’s shopping cart can be a very powerful feature. If you add an item to your cart and either keep it there or “save it for later,” you will be alerted to any price changes the next time you check your cart.

This is how I noticed that the price on a particular Wera socket set (mentioned yesterday) had gradually been dropping. When I checked my cart his morning, I saw the alert, shown above, that reflects an increase in price.

At any given time I have 150-200 tools and accessories in my cart that I don’t “need” but would someday like to buy. On occasion, I’ll see a price drop and act quickly. Usually, the product’s price will jump back up after a short time. Other times, the price will keep dropping. If it drops low enough, instead of lamenting that I overpaid by jumping on the deal too quickly, I will sometimes order another as a spare, gift, of giveaway item.
