I’ve received a few requests for a Ridgid Black Friday tool deal roundup, similar to what I did last year, and it seemed like a good idea. But for this year, I cast a wider net and included all of the deals I could find or already know about, rather than simply focusing on the better ones.
Home Depot did a great job of lumping together some of their better Ridgid tool deals this year:

Ridgid Shop Vacuum for $40
Ridgid is playing things close to their chest this year, but I am fairly certain that their deal will be the same as last year’s – the WD1636 vac package for $40.
Update: This year’s model, WD1640, is slightly different than last year’s. The specs look to be identical. The new vac looks different, with the inlet being in the dust container rather than the motor housing. The drain is a little different too. I cannot tell what the other differences might be.
Ridgid 16-Gallon Wet/Dry Vac for $100
Thanks to Kevin for the tip!
This Ridgid wet/dry vacuum, WD1851, comes with the vac, a 2-1/2″ 7-foot Dual-Flex locking hose, a fine dust filter, wet squeegee nozzle, utility nozzle, muffler/diffuser for quieter operation, car nozzle, crevice tool, and 2 extension wands, and features a 20-foot power cord.
Ridgid Brushless Drill Kit for $99
Less than $100 will get you brushless drill bragging rights.
Looking for a $100 cordless drill kit? Check out our drill deals roundup:
Ridgid Drill Kit w/ 2 Batteries for $99
Does a second battery pack mean more to you than a brushless motor? Look at this kit instead.
Ridgid Impact Driver Kit for $99
Ridgid’s 18V Gen5X impact driver kit is on sale again, for $99. This is the same model as mentioned in the 2-tool Gen5X combo kit shown below.
It features 3 speed and torque modes, and can deliver up to 2,000 in-lbs of torque. The kit comes with a 2.-Ah Li-ion battery pack.
Drill & Impact Driver Kit for $169
I don’t think I’m familiar with this Ridgid R9624 hammer drill and impact driver combo kit. It could be new, I’m not sure, but the tools have been around for some time.
You get a Gen5X drill with up to 780 in-lbs torque, and an impact that delivers up to 2,000 in-lbs of torque. Both batteries are 2.0Ah.
Ridgid 12V Max Drill and Impact Driver Kit for $99
This Ridgid R9000K 12V Max drill and impact driver combo kit hits the $99 deal price every holiday season, starting on Black Friday. We expect to do the same this year.
Ridgid’s 12V Max cordless power tool lineup has been stagnant, but these 2 are decent tools.
A Different Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit for $149
This other Ridgid 18V drill and impact driver kit, R9602, will be on sale for $149. Right now it’s $179.
These are older X4 models that aren’t as powerful as the new Gen5X kit, just above. So what’s more important to you, more power (at least on paper) or an extra $20 in your wallet?
If you ask me, Milwaukee’s kit is a better buy for the same money, but that’s because I like the breadth of Milwaukee’s M18 lineup better than Ridgid’s 18V lineup. But, Ridgid tools give you greater bang for the buck, and there are a few tools they offer that you can’t get from Milwaukee, such as the new trim router.

Ridgid Gen5X Combo Kit for $399
Ridgid’s 5-tool 18V Gen5X combo kit will go on sale again, for $399. It’s hit this price before, but it’s usually priced at $499 outside of holiday promotions.
Are these tools any good?
Ridgid 18V Gen5X Brushless w/ 2 FREE Tools for $399
Buy the Ridgid R9214 18V Gen5X brushless cordless combo kit, which comes with a drill/driver, impact driver, and 7-1/4″ circular saw, and get your choice of 2 FREE bonus tools.
It also comes with 2.0Ah and 4.0Ah battery packs, so you can pair a compact battery with the drill or driver, and the higher capacity battery pack with the circular saw.
The regular kit gives you 2x 4.0Ah battery packs.
Full details about this kit aren’t available yet, but should be on Black Friday. An anonymous tip said that the choice of free tools would include a 2-pack of 4.0Ah batteries, an X4 reciprocating saw, and a JobMax oscillating multi-tool, at the least.
Ridgid 18V 5.0Ah Battery 2-Pack for $129
Get 2 of these 18V 5.0Ah battery packs for $129.
Ridgid 18V 4.0Ah Battery 2-Pack for $99
Or you can get 2x 4.0Ah packs for $99.
Ridgid Trim Router with Free 1/4 Sheet Sander for $99
I posted again about this deal a few weeks ago, and was surprised to hear complaints about the sander. I’ve had great experiences with my Ridgid random orbital sander, and would assume that the 1/4 sheet sander was built to the same standards.
Online reviews for both seem to be fairly positive.
Ridgid 12″ Miter Saw for $199
Already live as part of Home Depot’s PRO Black Friday event, this basic 12″ dual bevel miter saw is on sale for $199.
Ridgid 12″ Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw for $299
We received an anonymous tip that the Ridgid R4221 12″ sliding miter saw, with its dual bevel design and 70 degree miter range, will be on sale from $299, from its regular price of $399.
Ridgid Miter Saw Stand for $99
This Ridgid miter saw stand, which seems to be hugely popular, is currently on sale for $149, but we expect it to drop down to $99 for Black Friday. That’s what happened last year, and its inclusion in Home Depot’s gift center suggests the same will happen this year.
Going by the user reviews, I think this is the best miter saw stand you can find for under $100.
Ridgid Table Saw for $199
I briefly talked about the Ridgid R4516 portable table saw in our table saw deals post:
I had never tested this model, and it always seems to disappear from stores and everyone’s attention until the holiday season rolls around.
There are plenty of reviews, a great many of them positive.
This saw’s unique in how it has roller wheels and a handle built into the base, for easier transport.
Personally, I’d spend a little more and go with a Dewalt portable table saw, but the money saved can give you a head start on saving for your next saw or tool purchase, or buy a great blade or two.
Ridgid Table Saw with Roller Stand for $299
Just like last year, we expect Ridgid’s R4513 portable table saw and roller stand combo to go on sale for $299 on Black Friday.
Ridgid Pro Tool Box Tower: $98
Buy a roller cart and middle box, get a top organizer for free.
This deal comes around every holiday season. Home Depot didn’t confirm it for this year yet, but it’s all but guaranteed.
Check out our review of the Ridgid Pro tool boxes. I do prefer Dewalt Tough System tool boxes, but bought a couple more of Ridgid’s over the years since my initial buy. They offer good bang for the buck.
Wait until Thanksgiving of Black Friday to see if the deal’s gone live, or head to your local HD.
Ridgid 6 Gallon Air Compressor for $99
Here’s one more Ridgid deal from the HD Pro sales event.
- 150 PSI
- 12 Amps
- Air Delivery: 3.5 SCFM at 40 PSI, 2.6 SCFM at 90 PSI
- 6 Gallons air capacity
- 2 universal quick couplers accept 1/4″ automotive and industrial fittings
Ridgid Air Framing Nailer for $169
Also from the Pro BF event, this round head air framing nailer is on sale for $169.
Ridgid Tile Saw for $100
The R4020, one more deal from the PRO Black Friday sale, is on sale for $100.
You might still want to buy or rent a bigger and better saw for regular use, or even the occasional big project, but this saw should handle some smaller jobs reasonably well. The reviews seem to be mostly positive, but there are some complaints mixed in that you’ll want to read.
