You may have already seen the Rockwell Versacut in a TV commercial, or maybe at Lowes where new Rockwell tool displays have been popping up. The Versacut is a mini 4.0A circular saw that can be used to cut wood, sheet metal, plastic, tile, and other types of materials.
The kit comes with 3 types of blades – 24T carbide-tipped for cutting wood, 44T HSS blade for cutting aluminum and PVC plastic, and a diamond-edged blade for cutting ceramic tile and cement board. A quick setting with 1/8″ markings allows for plunge-depth adjustment, and maximum cutting depth is 1-1/16″ with the Versacut’s 3-3/8″ blade.
Rockwell bundles the tool with a non-marring base plate cover, parallel cutting guide, vacuum adapter, and a carrying bag.
Top top things off (literally, since it’s housed at the top of the tool), the Versacut also features a laser cutting guide.
Replacement blades are available separately or as a 3-blade assortment pack.
If you’re a fan of Rockwell, you’ll be happy to know that their Trans4mer saw, a hybrid jigsaw of sorts, will be available starting next month.
