Bosch’s Multi-Construction Drill Bits came out last year, and they’re great for drilling through a variety of materials – wood, metal, plastic, and of course masonry. The design of these bits allows them to drill through sandwhiched materials, saving time at jobsites when installing things to brick.
I recently spotted a Sears Blue Tool Crew video that showed off these bits in action, but for a number of reasons I did not want to discuss it. However, after talking about it with a trustworthy fellow, I realized that the video (following, embedded) is indeed worth pointing out as it highlights how well designed and versatile these drill bits really are.
If you watch the video, you’ll see just how well these bits just plow through all types of materials. Wood, sheet metal, tile, etc, these drills can handle it all.

Judging from the video, these bits seem to work great on a variety of materials. Does ToolGuyd recommend them?
I have a few of the bits in my possession. To be honest, I haven’t had time to fully test them out, but thus far they seem to be quite decent.
I don’t recommend them as “universal” bits, but they’re perfect for installing wood, plastic, sheet metal to masonry.
Thanks Stuart! That’s the information I wanted to know. I don’t think I’ll be buying them anytime soon, but I may pick up a set someday.
