Last week we spoke a bit about the new Skil oscillating multi-tool, and have since received additional product details to share with you.
The Skil oscillating Multi-Tasker is currently priced at about $90-$105 online, but we’re told that it will be available at Walmart stores nationwide starting in May 2011, with a suggested retail price of $80.
The Multi-Tasker is equipped with Bosch’s OIS accessory interface, and included in the 1400-02 kit will be an adapter that allows non-OIS accessories to be used with the tool.
Also included in the 1400-02 kit, in addition to a detail sanding pad and assorted grit sheets, are:
- Wood/Metal Plunge Sawblade #84558 – a 1-1/8 inch wide blade for plunge cuts up to two inches into softwood and thin gauge material
- Wood/Drywall Segment Sawblade #84568 – a three inch wide blade suitable for applications such as cutting drywall or trimming a door frame near the floor
- Wood Flush Cut Sawblade #84574 – a 2-1/2 inch blade for flushs cut in softwood up to 1-1/4 inches deep
Given the Multi-Tasker’s May ’11 release, modest pricing, and availability at Walmart, it will likely be one of the most popular Father’s Day tool gifts this year.
