Over at Amazon, they’ve got some kind of “Save Big” promotion on select Wera tool and tool sets. Some of the deals are GREAT! Others, not so much. You can see all of the deals here, but I’ll also describe the better ones below.
Some of the deals are temporarily out of stock, but you can still order them.
Shown above, the Wera kraftform Kompakt 25 multi-bit screwdriver is on sale for around $26. It’s a great on-the-go and EDC screwdriver, and you can use the included long bit holder in your power tools in a pinch.
A button press slides the handle back to reveal 6 standard screwdriver bits. The bit holder can be used in 2 positions.
The screwdriver comes with a belt pouch.
My own minor grumble is that the handle is a little chunky, but I got used to it quickly. It’s worth it for the unique bit storage solution.
I bought this Wera Kraftform 334/6 screwdriver set around 7-1/2 years ago, and it’s still going pretty strong. I remember being a little upset that the drivers didn’t seem to have the golden-colored Lasertip tips that I had seen on other Wera drivers, but they’re still micro-grooved and engage fasteners with very strong and tight grip.
These aren’t my everyday drivers anymore, but I can’t bear to get rid of them. I tend to reach for them when working on fasteners that I really don’t want to slip.
The set is currently on sale for nearly $24. I paid $24.00 for the set back in mid-2009. If you’ve been looking for a new set of mixed Phillips and slotted drivers, this is a good deal for great screwdrivers.
I’ve owned this set of Wera precision screwdrivers also for around 7-1/2 years now.
As mentioned in my Best Precision Screwdrivers roundup, these Wera mini drivers are very nice, but the grip zone can be a long reach if you’re palming the swivel end cap.
Wera has expanded their selection of precision screwdrivers in recent years, but Wiha is still king when it comes to breadth of selection. If you just need some mini Phillips and slotted drivers, this is a good set.
It’s currently priced at a hair over $20.
The expiration date is unknown. These prices are good, but not “gee golly I’ve GOT to buy them NOW” great. The savings are good enough to where I’d move something from my wishlist to my cart.
