Check out these projects that were done using Woodline’s Rout-R-Joint dovetail jig system with various templates. I caught sight of these joinery examples at a recent Woodworking Show, and was very impressed.
Some of the dovetail shapes that can be created using templates for the Rout-R-Joint system include: hearts, dogbones, “pin and crescents”, arrowheads, wavy T-shaped fingers, and teddy bears.
Searching the web for reviews, I found a few impressions of the Rout-R-Joint, with more positve ones than negative. I did not stick around for the product demo, so I cannot report on how easy it is to use. Still, the joinery examples looked amazing, especially with contrasting wood shades.
If you come across a Woodline booth at a future Woodworking Show, try not to be as surprised as I was when you are asked to open a small innocent looking box.
