There are huge Black Friday deals and discounts on tools right now, such as cordless power tools, modular tool box systems, woodworking tools and equipment, and more.
But, don’t worry – there are still plenty of ways to save money or treat yourself to something new without spending a small fortune.
Here are a couple of the best tool deals of the season, and all of them are priced at just under $20 or less.

Milwaukee Rafter Square & Trim Square Set
This 2pc set gives you a 7″ rafter square, and a 4-1/2″ trim square. Both have highly visible markings, and they’re made in the USA.

There’s more to this deal – Home Depot has 6 different Milwaukee hand tool promos, each priced at $19.97. If you buy 4 or more, you save $19.97, essentially making this a “buy 3, get 1 free” promo.
Milwaukee 25′ Compact Magnetic Tape Measure 2-Pack – $19.97
Milwaukee Fastback Utility Knife 2pc Set – $19.97
Milwaukee 2pc Multi-Bit Screwdriver Set – $19.97
Milwaukee Rafter & Trim Square Bundle – $19.97
Milwaukee 19oz Hickory Framing Hammer – $19.97
Milwaukee 7-in-1 Combination Wire Strippers/Pliers – $19.97

Gearwrench MicroDriver Tool Set
The Gearwrench MicroDriver set comes with a double-ended bit ratchet and a selection of screwdriver bits and sockets. It’s a convenient grab-and-go compact tool kit.

Craftsman Collapsible Magnetic Parts Trays (2-Pack)
I really like this parts tray design – it collapses when not in use, but pops out like a camping cup or bowl when you need it.

Bosch 10pc Jigsaw Blade Set
While not the most exciting type of tool deal, this set gives you good blades at a great price. Save money where you can.

Streamlight Stylus Pro LED Penlight
This is one of my favorite penlights again, especially when it’s priced under $20. Keep an eye on the price – it will probably be discounted further for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or both.

Dewalt 10pc Drill Bit Set
This is a great deal if you can use the drill bits. But, speaking frankly, it’s still a good deal even if you can only use a few drill bits and want the reusable ToughCase.
Here, you get a 10pc drill bit set for $6 with free shipping. Over at Amazon, they have a new version of what looks to be the same case for $7 by itself.

ToughBuilt Digital Angle Gauge
There are two types of people – those who have digital angle gauges, and those who should buy one.

Dewalt 10-Compartment Shallow Parts Organizer
The organizer features removable bins, and multiple organizers can be latched together for easier transport.

Diablo 10pc Spade Drill Bit Set with Pouch
I’m sorry, this isn’t a very exciting deal; it’s boring! Jokes aside, these are decent spade drill bits for fast drilling into wood.

Sometimes, all you need is a compact screwdriver that fits in the palm of your hand. This Skil features “Circuit Sensor” tech, a dual LED light, and it recharges via USB.

What is everyone using the tough cases for if not for the drill bits?
Ball_bearing
For a mini toolkit, for a passthrough socket set that didn’t come with a box, and for insert bit storage, using the red vinyl bit organizers.
Sam
Organizing nails( fits up to 2” 18g strips) and pin nails in my boxes, or I put shelf pins or restrict or clips in them. I’m a cabinet installer by day. The fact that they lock together saves looking for them every now and again. And if you buy some from Lowe’s you can color coordinate for different things.
Jorn
Grabbed the pop up parts trays. Thanks for the heads up!
Happy thanksgiving!
Julian Tracy
Just picked up those parts trays last week, I really like the design and size of them too. Who’d have figured Craftsman would be making anything these days worth buying?
JML
In my local HD all the rafter squares (dozens) had the finish ruined in the package; the red was already chipped off on the edges, probably from automated packaging in the stupid clamshells. So inspect before buying, unless you want pre-worn tools. Reminds me of the hammer displays in the stores where every hammer has chipped coatings from the metal racks.
L
The outside edges are milled and have no coating on them, are you sure that’s not what you were seeing?
Rob H
Lowes has the Jorgensen clamps for less than $20 available online now. 5 pack assorted is $15.96, 2 pack 24” 1000 pound are 15.98. 3 pack 12” 1,000 pound are 19.98.
Mike
Thanks! There were some great deals.
NoahG
Yeah I scooped those up! Great deal!

Just the gift post I needed.

Stuart, I hope you’re spending enough quality time with your family. As much as I look forward to all the posts, I wouldn’t want it at the expense of your family.
I never thought about getting a 4v screwdriver. Looking at it, I think I’d probably end up using it often. Don’t like to shop amazon, so I hope it shows up at HD, Lowes or Ace Hardware.
Stuart
I am, thank you!
November is always hard, but I make sure to take a break on Thanksgiving.
Tuesday – the day after Cyber Monday – is usually when I can finally start to relax again.

Any recommendations for a key chain light? In the $20 range? Maybe a bit more?

PB Swiss tools are 25 percent off all weekend…
Toollady.com
One of the best screwdrivers, period.

I appreciate these budget minded gift ideas, especially in these times. I think I might grab one of these for an upcoming “secret Santa” exchange.
Stuart
I’m working on a gift guide as well, but it’s hard. Usually there are more budget-friendly holiday deals and special buys.
I’ve been trying to keep in mind that a lot of people aren’t interested in cordless power tools, table saws, mechanics tool sets, or the like.
Jacob L
Does anyone know what time Home Depot.com the website starts Black Friday? Plan on staying up if it’s midnight.
Stuart
3am ET. Sometimes it takes a few minutes. That’s also when Amazon deals go live too.
Jacob L
Thank you Stuart you have already saved me a lot money this season. Good work
Stuart
Thank you, you’re welcome!
“Saved,” “cost,” same thing. =)
