New Pivoting Handle Dremel Trio 6800!

Update: We have written a new post about the Dremel Trio featuring additional product details and a 9-photo gallery. The Trio is also now available for preorder on Amazon!

The new Dremel Trio 6800 features a 90° pivoting handle and multiple grip zones, turning the Trio into a very capable multi-function tool. Not only that, the Trio is also capable of plunge-cutting, allowing it to start cuts anywhere in a worksurface.

With its innovative design, the Trio can be used as a spiral jigsaw, an edge sander, and even a precision detail router! The Trio is also capable of full 360° operation, which means it can handle cutting through corners with ease!

Oh boy, can you tell that I’m excited about this? I’ve used a Dremel with multi-purpose cutting attachment before, and always wished for more stability and versatility. It looks like those are two things that the Dremel Trio will definitely deliver!

We don’t know when the Trio will be officially released, and have no additional information or specs, but it looks to be available for preorder at Home Depot and Amazon for $99.

It looks like Dremel Trio was at one point called the Dremel Tracer. While Trio may be more descriptive, we like Tracer a bit more as it sounds edgier with a nice ring to it. An even better name would be Super Duper Right Angle Multi-Function Rotary Tool That Will Cut, Sand, and Route Your Socks Off, but I suppose that is a bit of a mouthful.
