WD-40 Then and Now Nostalgic Combo Pack

To celebrate their 50+ year history, WD-40 has released a new nostalgic “now & then” combo pack featuring an 8 ounce collector’s cans, and an 8 ounce Smart Straw can. The black and yellow “then” version is fully-functional and pays homage to the 1950s when WD-40 was used in the aerospace industry under Rocket Chemical Company.

These combo packs started hitting the shelves at select stores last week, and are also available for purchase online. A price comparison reveals that the combo price is a bit higher than for two ordinary non-Smart Straw 8 ounce WD-40 cans, but not outrageously so.

That’s cool. I love the way old logos and products look, they seem more authentic. That could be my imagination, though. 🙂

I love the old look of product labels too! I also like the vintage tool brands, especially Craftsman. I’m kind of nostalgic that way. Don’t get me wrong, I love new product and tool designs too, I guess that old school labels bring back memories of simpler days.
