Okay, so I lied, the Amazon Lightning Deal doesn’t start at 10am ET on 11/9/2015, it starts at 10:05am. But since I said 10am, maybe you’ll be ready and waiting for the deal instead of catching it on the tail end after it just sells out. Don’t be mad, I just wanted a neater headline.
Time: 10:05am ET for Prime members, 10:35am for non members
Date: 11/9/2015 (a Monday)

The Deal: 20% off these 3M Peltor H10A Optime 105 earmuffs
Regular Price: $18.30
So, hopefully we’ll see a deal price around $15 or so.
Update: Sale price is $14.64

These are awesome earmuffs. Mine is a little worn, and so they’ve been demoted to household uses, and are worn for things such as vacuum the floors. Or my wife will wear them when using the food processor once or twice a year.
I haven’t bought a new one of these earmuffs since I bought my first pair a little more than 8 years ago, and that’s because 3M Peltor’s Ultimate 10 earmuffs (link below) have been cheaper. As far as I am aware, both models are identically designed and offer the same 30 dB noise reduction rating.

These are awesome earmuffs. You can bet that I’ll try to be near a computer or on my smartphone for when this deal goes live. The savings might only be for $3.66, if the deal is in fact 20% off the current price of $18.30, but hey – that’s nearly 2 gallons of gas, or one of something that costs nearly $4.

Why didn’t I post about any of Amazon’s other tool-related lighting deals for today? Sorry, they all stink. See for yourself.
Prime early access deals start 30-minutes later for non-Prime subscribers. As usual, the “Lightning Deals” will have limited time sales windows and limited supplies of products that will be available at the sale prices. Sale prices will only be known once the deals go live at their designated times.

Not bad if you have prime or an immediate need, but just as an FYI for future purchases, Sears carries these as well, and they go on sale every so often for $15 or less.

Sometimes when Amazon has them at a low price, Sears will go even lower, so it may even be worth checking the Sears site a few times during the lightning deal to see if that’s the case.

These are near the best earmuffs available, if I could get them here for that price I would buy 2, one for work, one for the garage.
