Here are several more notable Black Friday 2018 tool deals that are already live on Amazon.
Irwin 8pc Clamp Set
A couple of readers asked about whether there will be any new clamp deals for Black Friday this year. Well, not really.

There’s a Jet parallel clamp deal in the Acme Tools flyer, but that’s about it.
This Irwin 8pc clamping set comes with 2x 6″ Quick-Grip clamps, 2x 12″ Quick-Grip clamps, 2x spring clamps, and 2x hand clamps.
Price: $27

The price is reasonable. I’ve purchased a special buy in previous years, where 4x 6″ clamps were $20. So for $7 more, this set upgrades 2 of the clamps to a bigger size, and gives you 2 spring clamps and 2 hand clamps. It’s a good deal that I felt was worth mentioning, but not good enough for its own post.
Wera Mini Tool Sets
I posted about a Wera multi-bit screwdriver deal the other day, and there are a couple of other deals that are good enough to talk about in greater detail.

Shown here is the Wera 39pc imperial Tool-Check Plus, an extremely compact tool kit that features a selection of 1/4″ drive sockets, 1/4″ screwdriver bits, a bit ratchet, locking bit holder, and screwdriver handle.
This is a really good kit (I own one, use it all the time, and love it!), and its current sale price is hard to beat.

The Tool-Check Plus is now on sale at KC Tool for less!
The metric Tool-Check isn’t on sale for as low a price as I’d like to recommend, but this tool set is. It’s a 28pc Zyklop speed ratchet set, with a locking swivel-head ratchet (one of my favorites), metric 1/4″ drive sockets, 2″ screwdriver bits, and a bit holder socket, and 2 extensions.
Price: $84

This Wera 28pc metric socket and bit set looks to have one less socket and only one extension, and comes in at a lower price point. There could be other more subtle differences that escape my attention.
Price: $73

If you only want Wera screwdriver bits, there’s a 30pc Bit-Check with locking bit holder. This pairs well with a small bit ratchet, but Wera’s doesn’t seem to be on sale at the moment.

Bosch Colt Router
Bosch’s PR20EVS 1HP variable speed palm router is on sale at its Black Friday pricing. Amazon dropped the price ahead of other Bosch retailers that are also participating on this deal.
This very popular compact router is typically priced at $99.
Price: $79

The PR20EVSK version is also $79. My understanding is that the inclusion of the hard carrying case is the only difference.
FlexZilla Extension Cord Reel
I bought a couple of FlexZilla extension cords last year, and they’ve been holding up well.
This deal features a FlexZilla 50′ retractable extension cord reel with triple plug. It has a 4.5′ lead cord, 14/3 AWG SJTOW cord that FlexZilla says is “resistant to the effects of oil, water and sunlight, and is flexible in low temperatures,” and it comes with a swivel mounting bracket.
The cord reel can be mounted to the wall or ceiling.
This retractable cord reel is ideal for general, commercial and industrial use. Cord locks out in 3 ft. increments and is recommended for indoor/dry locations.

Porter Cable Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit
When you buy certain tools, such as an oscillating multi-tool kit, you often get lots of accessories, some of which you might not want or need. If you want to use it predominantly for cutting tasks, you might not need sanding accessories. If you want to sand, you might not need cutting blades. Or maybe you have a favorite brand of accessory and don’t plan on using any of the “starter” ones.
With this Porter Cable PCE606K multi-tool kit, you get a near bare-bones kit. That means it’s extremely inexpensive, but you don’t have many accessories to start out with.
Price: $49

Just wanted to point out a small typo. On the FlexZilla post it reads, can be mounted to the ALL or ceiling. I believe it should read wall. On a side note, I think I will grab one of these for my dad for Christmas. His current ceiling mounted cord is worn out!
Stuart
Thanks, fixed it!

Stuart, Direct Tools Factory Outlet has their black friday deals up at https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com/weekly-specials. The paper ad I have has an extra page that is not on the website that I will send you.
They are owned by TTI and sell “factory blemish” and pre-owned tools. The factory blemish tools they sell have the same warranty as Home Depot.

I’ve gotten some good deals from DTO, but you need to check HD pricing first – sometimes their pricing is the same or even more than HD’s. From that flyer, $40 for a 4 AHr Ryobi battery is definitely worth considering….
Also, their pricing moves around A LOT, and the best deals are normally on returns (“pre-owned”), not on factory blemished.
DrewBHAM
HD will have the 4AH Ryobi battery 2 pack for $79 for Black Friday.

That Irwin clamp deal does not appear to be available anymore.
Stuart
Thanks!
It does look to be sold out at the moment. It might be worth checking back – some other deals have went out and then back in stock in stock recently.

I bought the SAE Tool-Check Plus last year on sale and agree it really has become one of my favorite “tool kits”. It’s part of my EDC tool kit along with a multi tool, Tajima snap blade knife, Prince 18650 flashlight, small 16′ Stanley tape measure, Staedtler Mars 780 Technical Mechanical Pencil (best pencil on earth, 2 years old now used every day) and a fine/medium tip black sharpie.
Having almost every bit size you will need on a daily basis along with the common small sockets in such a small package is great. The ratchet is very well built, I’ve put as much torque I could muster on it many times and it’s never slipped or skipped a tooth and you can put any of the 1/4″ hex bits directly into it or use any number of 1/4″ hex extensions.
Highly recommend this tool kit.

The Colt or the Makita RT0701CX3? I was going to get the colt at Lowe’s on Friday, this deal is better. But then I noticed the Makita while looking at the Colt on Amazon. Any opinions, experiences with either are greatly appreciated!!
Todd
I have the Colt, it is a good trim router with a couple minor shortcomings IMHO. I have the cordless Makita which is basically the same router as the corded one minus the cord, and the accessories available for it are nice, especially the plunge base and the guide rail adapter which really open up a ton of options.
I don’t really care for the depth adjustment or clamping mechanism on the Colts standard base, and much prefer the Makita base.

kctoolco has the wera tool check plus sets both imperial and metric at $56 each. https://www.kctoolco.com/black-friday/
