There are a bunch of notable cordless power tool deals that I haven’t discussed yet, and in the spirit of efficiency, here they are in one post.

Milwaukee M18 Nailers Flash Sale Tool Nut November 2018

Now, thru 11/20/2018, save up to $100 on Milwaukee M18 brushless nailers. Take your pick, they’re $199 each, for the bare tool. Regular pricing ranges from $249 to $299 for the bare tools.

There’s also a Home Depot promo on the 18 gauge brad nailer – spend $249 (the regular price), and you get a free 2.0Ah battery.

Dewalt DCK483D2 Brushless Tool Combo Kit

I called the Dewalt DCK483D2 brushless cordless power tool combo kit “The Better Core Tools” kit, in my spring post: The Best Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit Right Now (Spring 2018). There’s a compromise to this kit, and that it comes with compact battery packs, which is good for the drill, impact, and flashlight, but heavy use of the circular saw would benefit from a higher capacity battery pack.

Right now, this combo kit is on sale. At Acme Tools, it’s bundled with a FREE ToughSystem rolling tool box. From Amazon, there’s a $20 discount.

Metabo Pre-Black Friday 2018 Tool Deals

There are so many cordless power tool deals these days, from yellow, red, blue, teal, red and black, black and red, orange, lime, and blue and black brands. What about Metabo?

Over at Ohio Power Tool, buy any select Metabo cordless power tool kit, or (2) bare tools, and you get a free compact 4.0Ah battery pack, which is automatically added to your cart at checkout.

There’s also a new Metabo corldess vac. Buy the kit, get a free “trolley” rolling base for it. (In my test, adding the cordless vac to my cart resulted in a free battery and free trolley being added.)

Dewalt DCK940D2 20V Max Cordless Combo Kit

Dewalt’s DCK940D2  9-tool 20V Max cordless power tool combo kit is at its $499 seasonal promo price. A lot of people ask about these kits, and I figured it was worth a mention. These kit offer a lot of bang for the buck for users that want to plan for unforeseen project needs.

Dewalt DCK1020D2 Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit

There’s also a Dewalt DCK1020D2 cordless kit, featuring 10 tools and 2 compact battery packs, priced at $529. Compared to the 9-tool kit, it’s $30 more and gives you the jobsite blower as the 10th tool.

Maybe this will be a Black Friday or Cyber Monday deal? This one’s more of a “deal to watch.”

There are things I don’t like about this combo kit, but it’s worth mentioning for the types of users who want max capabilities for minimal cost.

Home Depot Cordless Power Tools Holiday 2018 Tiered Savings Event Ridgid Promo 3

A Ridgid 18V 6-tool cordless power tool combo kit for $349? That’s a pretty good value. Add in 2 more tools for free, giving you an 8-tool kit for $349? That’s an excellent value.

Personally, I’d go for the router and circular saw as the free bonus tools.

For a new homeowner or just a frugal DIY person that Kobalt kit looks like an excellent deal!

Basically the same as the Ryobi Brushless kit at HD. Both seem to be good deals. The Ryobi kit doesn’t come with the light or recip saw, but does come with a circular saw and a second battery, and you get 2 free tools instead of 1. It’s 10 bucks more, but not knowing what Kobalt will be in a year, and seeing that Ryobi has made 18v batteries for freaking ever, and makes a heck of a lot more tools that you can expand into, I’d probably go with the green tools, even if a bit less powerful.

If you need everything in it, though, that Ridgid deal is freaking bonkers.

Ridgid batteries that are part of a kit and registered have the lifetime warranty (LSA). Ridgid batteries purchased separately are not entitled to the LSA.

I’m intrigued by it. With the various extra discounts that can be had, it can become a better value. Being inundated with all of these tool sales is making my head spin. I was all the way at Milwaukee and have grounded myself to Ridgit/Kobalt.

Err, ah, when it comes to Dewalt core tools kits there’s this:

    https://m.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-4-Tool-20-Volt-Max-Power-Tool-Combo-Kit-with-FREE-Cordless-Circular-Saw/1000651235

I ordered it already from Lowes. It’s just like the 5 tool kit at HD for the same price, except, the core 4 tool set at Lowes, however, is Made in the USA, and according to the more description of the same part number on Amazon, the reciporcating saw is better than the one in the similar 5 tool Non-USA kit at HD. Now, with the Lowes kit, the free circular saw is the better one with the cast magnesium base rather than the stamped aluminum base saw in the HD kit. The HD which comes with 1x2ah and 1x4ah batteries, the Lowes kit only has 2x2ah batteries though.

Regardless of which core tools Dewalt kit you get, pick up the battery 4 pack for $159, Lowes will have it at that price on Black Friday but HD has it online for that price now. I ordered that too. The kit comes with 2x2ah and 2x4ah batteries.

Why does it seem like every bundle kit always includes a drill or driver? I just scrolled though 80+ Milwaukee bundles on Home Depot and all had one or both of them. What options, other than buying bare or selling off extras from kits, do I have for expand on my m18 tools?

What tools are you looking to buy?

There were some M12 deals last week: https://toolguyd.com/early-black-friday-2018-tool-deal-milwaukee-m12-bare-cordless-power-tool-free-2ah-battery-h2018/

Free battery promos on the new heavy duty saws: https://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-m18-fuel-cordless-power-tool-kits-free-12ah-battery-deal-h2018/

Drills are always popular because of their utility and how many people use them. They’re the core of just about every cordless power tool combo kit.

There are deals on bare tools and non-drill kits, but most combos will include a drill these days.

@Jon: Agreed! I like having more than one drill and/or driver. This is for when I use multiple sizes of fasteners, etc. Comes in very handy. But I no longer consider kits because they always have them.

ryobi had a impact driver and battery for $49! I don’t know if it came with a charger and i don’t know if it was a black friday only deal but it was there in the middle of the isle and it was uncovered.

I finally saw the m12 rocket light in store and snatched it up! it was the last one on the shelf!

For this kinds of things, you could wait for $25 off $100+ or “15% off your order $150+” types of deals. They’re sometimes (usually?) eligible.

I bought a Kobalt “4 tool” (Drill, Circular Saw, Flashlight, USB Charger) set back in July for $100, and I’ve got to say whatever plastic Chervon uses for those tools really looks and feels kinda cheap. Even the Kobalt logo on the battery is just printed on, and scratches/rubs off. I really hope they do better with their new SKIL line.

10 tool dewalt kit works out to 60 a tool. Thats pretty reasonable. Even Kobalt is priced as high.

Due to its relation with Hitachi.. are we never going to see Metabo pushed in the big box stores (HD, Lowe’s) like other pro brands until they completely become one brand or what?

From discussions with the brands, don’t think so.

In your opinion, do you think that vac kit is a good deal? I’m thinking strongly about making that one of my “big” Black Friday purchases. I wish, wish, wish that one of the big box stores carried a Metabo deal comparable to the other pro brands to pair with it, it’d be a no brainer for me then, I think.

Possibly, if you’re interested in buying into Metabo’s 18V platform. Otherwise you have (3) batteries for (1) tool.

It looks like an interesting model, but Metabo isn’t clear about its features. There’s a HEPA-reated filter accessory available, as per the user manual, but is it included with the purchase? Doubtful, as there’s no mention of it. Can it be purchased separately?

Filter bags (model no. 6.30173) might be hard to find for a while.

Gotta weigh the pros and cons. Pro: It’s a very good deal if you were looking to buy that vac anyway. Con: Is that vac a good buy compared to more widely sold models like the upcoming Dewalt FlexVolt?

DeWalt DCE100B jobsite blower is $70.45 on Amazon, usually $110 from Home Depot.

I just ordered one for blowing off woodworking projects. I used one at a timber framing workshop and I had to get one.
