Just a little heads-up: Acme Tools 11% Veteran’s Day coupon promo ends today, 11/13/2018.
There are a bunch of brand exclusions, which is typical, some specific product exclusions from Dewalt and Milwaukee, and a sizable list of Makita exclusions.

A few readers have been commenting and emailing in, asking “when will I get the best discount on [specific tool]?” This deal isn’t it – I’d wait for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. BUT if you need something now and don’t want to wait two weeks, or you don’t want to risk your desired item selling out, or if you’re topping their typical $150 maximum discount anyway, this deal’s worth a look.

The promo doesn’t seem to stack on the already-promo-priced Milwaukee items I tried.

nov. 16 and 17, 15% off select vendors at acme.
dewalt, makita, milwaukee bosch and many more.
Stuart
Thanks! Where did you see this?
Chris
I purposely didn’t buy anything from Acme earlier this week because of what you typed here. I don’t see any 15% off code on their site today….
Stuart
If he received a mailable flyer, it could be in-store only.
There has traditionally been a percent-off-one-item promo for Cyber Monday.
Chris
Well that’s certainly hella different from what I thought he was alluding to.
Ggrrrrr internet ggrrrrr……
skfarmer
it is their fall tool sale. a flyer they sent me last week. about 90 pages. if we could upload pics, i would.
Chris
Not to be a Debbie-downer, but their list of “not valid on the following items” is pretty frustrating. Reminds me of when sales at HF or Auto Anything occur.
“We’re having an awesome sale!!!………on 4% of the products we carry.”
Stuart
I believe those exclusions are all set by the manufacturers. The alternative is trial and error like you have to do on Amazon.

This worked for me on the Milwaukee M18 shop vac combo, which was already a great deal.
Stuart
Me too!
I was debating whether I should wait for a better deal, but 1) there’s no guarantee it won’t be excluded from those deals, and 2) it’s already backordered due to sales volume, and I don’t want to get pushed further down the fulfillment list.
I figured that with this sale, I save $16. I could potentially save another say $6-13, depending on promos between now and Cyber Monday, or I can lost that $16 promo and have to pay the full promo price of $149, which was already a great deal.
Your comment tipped me off the fence, order placed!

Am I the only one experiencing long wait times on backordered items from a Acme? My last 3 orders were for items indicating warehouse acquiring item in 7-10 business days. It’s the canned message on their website, but so far I’m learning it means we don’t have it and don’t know when we will. The last 3 orders didn’t ship for a month or more, all following an inquiry on my part about the status of the order.

Last year I bought some jet parallel clamps during the black friday sale and the full order didn’t get shipped until 4 months later. They weren’t even backordered at the time and the communication wasn’t really good in that situation. That being said, its the only late item I’ve ever had from them.

Last order, my Bosch 12V jigsaw was back ordered, took < 3 weeks to arrive. The people on the phone were quick and helpful, but their order status system could use a major upgrade.
Stuart
Have you asked them for an ETA?
When you backorder from almost any retailer, they give an estimate as to when the next shipment will arrive, but it might be several shipments until they catch up with demand/sales.

When I get around the 15 bus day mark I have been following up with them. They will usually give me a date, sometimes they hit it, sometimes they don’t. At this point I’m not inclined to place orders with them that aren’t in stock. Unfortunately, there is quite a bit on their site that isn’t in stock.

even heard it on the radio this morning!
how is that for old school advertising?
