Amazon’s Cyber Monday 2019 tool deals are here and… it’s a big flop.
There are some tool deals, but not as many as I would have hoped for, and it doesn’t look like they’re much different from the holiday tool deals we’ve been seeing.

I’ll check back later in the morning and afternoon to see if there are any “lightning deals” or new additions. In the meantime, here are the most notable tool deals Amazon is offering for Cyber Monday thus far.
Their top deal right now? Knock-off Milwaukee M12 cordless power tool batteries. *Rolling my eyes.*
There are some good deals, such as on the expanded selection of WERA hand tool deals. There’s also a HOT deal on a fully-loaded Dewalt cordless oscillating multi-tool kit – the new model too.

Thanks for the heads up. Grabbed the Dewalt Oscillating kit.

Any opinion on these deals for someone looking for something in a very small form factor? 12V is being heavily considered, but subcompact 18V might work well too.

If you’re willing to spend the money, Makita 18V sub-compact might be the better way to go, as it opens you to the vast system in case you want to expand to more
tool sintools in the future.Skil’s 12V tools, from what I’ve seen so far, are impressively good. Still, Skil targets different users than Makita, and this could be reflected in long-term durability.
If you really want small form factor tools, 12V-class are ergonomically a little better – in my opinion – than the most compact 18V-class tools.

I would also put in a good word for the M12 series of tools – the compact battery-in-handle design makes them just that much smaller.
Also “tool sin” is something we all have to be aware of I think! ?

Whoops, fixed it!

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Is this specific Makita deal in and of itself a “good value” price wise (historically)? I don’t want to buy at the “top of the market” so to speak.

Launched at $299 – https://toolguyd.com/makita-18v-sub-compact-brushless-reciprocating-saw/
Looking at past ToolGuyd posts, it was excluded from money-off promos at Acme Tools in the past.
Online Amazon price trackers show that it dipped down to $249 briefly around mid-April to mid-May and then bounced back up to ~$300 before coming back to $275.
Home Depot also has it for $275 right now.
It’s $329 at some dealers.
$275 is a good price. It could be better, but it could also be worse.
This isn’t top of market. If you’re not in a rush you could wait to see if the price softens, or order from a retailer with easier return policy or low-price guarantee.

No rush, thanks. You and this site are invaluable!
