Amazon launched a new line of Denali 20V cordless power tools, and thanks to the battery being “Denali by Skil,” the line is completely cross-compatible with Skil’s 20V Max cordless system.
The new line includes the most common types of cordless power tools, and two battery sizes, 2Ah and 4Ah, plus a 2.4A standard charger.
The new Amazon Denali cordless power tools look to be entry-priced, but their features elevate them above many of the more basic tools and brands currently on the market.
To start things off, the Denali 2-tool combo kit comes with a cordless drill, impact driver, 2x 2Ah batteries, charger, and tool bag.
The drill has a 1/2″ keyless chuck and 2-speed gearbox. Looking at a different product page for what looks to be the same model drill, it can deliver up to 350 in-lbs max torque and offers 0-420 and 0-1600 RPM.
The impact driver can deliver up to 1100 in-lbs of max torque.

Amazon doesn’t provide much information about the new tools or Denali cordless lineup, other than to say it’s “ideal for weekend warriors and serious do-it-yourselfers.
Is Amazon trying to take on Ryobi, Craftsman, and Harbor Freight, or maybe just the countless no-name brands of cordless power tools already available on their site and marketplace?
Whatever Amazon’s motivation, this is definitely an interesting development. What makes it even more interesting is the fact these tools are powered by Skil, a Chervon brand.
Chervon produces tools for their own cordless power tool brands, such as Skil, EGO, and Flex, as well as other brands, such as Kobalt. Chervon also used to be an OEM for Sears’ Craftsman cordless power tool systems, such as C3 and Nextec.
It will be interesting to see what Amazon does with their new Denali cordless power tool system.
