Dewalt 20V Cordless Drill Kit with PowerPack Batteries Deal DCD801QQ2

There are some good deals on Dewalt tools at Amazon right now, most notably on some of their XR series 20V Max cordless power tools.

The holiday tool deals season has begun, and it seems retailers are competing for your purchases as quickly as possible.

Shown above is the Dewalt DCD801QQ2 brushless drill kit, their latest and greatest compact XR model, and it’s bundled with 2x 4Ah PowerPack batteries.

The 4Ah PowerPack is a compact tabless Li-ion cell battery.

You also get a charger and tool bag.

Amazon claims that you save 20%. Are they right? They show a list price of $269 and a “limited time deal” price of $215.10.

Home Depot has the same Dewalt brushless drill kit discounted to $239 right now. Acme Tools has the same price.

It looks like a bunch of retailers have this Dewalt cordless drill kit – their excellent compact pro XR model with premium batteries – on sale right now. Amazon beats them all and has the lowest price I can find.

Looks like a great deal to me. There’s no mention of when it’ll end or whether supplies are limited.

Dewalt 20V Max XR Cordless Impact Driver Kit DCF860QQ1

They also have a limited time deal on this Dewalt DCF860QQ1 brushless impact driver kit.

This is also a Dewalt 20V Max XR series tool, and it’s bundled with a single 4Ah PowerPack battery and charger.

I’ve used the DCF860 impact driver quite a bit. It’s one of the best premium brushless impact drivers on the market. If you’re int he market for an impact, this deal is worth a close look.

But is it a good deal?

Amazon says you save 11%. The list price is $269 and sale price $239.

Shopping around, Lowe’s has the same kit also discounted to $239.

This kit seems to be discounted, but Amazon’s price isn’t any lower than at other retailers.

You might also want to take a look at a similar kit that’s bundled with an 8Ah PowerPack battery and fast charger. Amazon has it at a discount, and it’s also available at Home Depot.

I think the 4Ah battery is a better size for an impact driver, but the 8Ah PowerPack battery works well with it. The 8Ah battery and fast charger gives you greater value for a small price difference.

I think the Dewalt XR deals above are most notable, but you might like these other cordless tool deals too.

Dewalt 20V Max Brushless Impact Driver Kit – $119

Dewalt 20V Max XR Brushless Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit – $119

Dewalt 20V Max 9-Tool Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit – $699

Dewalt PowerStack 5Ah Pouch Battery with Charger – $92.98

Dewalt Jobsite Table Saw with Roller Stand – $599

Some other retailers have the Dewalt DWE7491RS jobsite table saw (AC/corded powered) at higher pricing. At this time, Lowe’s has Amazon matched at $599. Home Depot and others have it at $649.

Note: I would ONLY buy Dewalt tools from Amazon with Amazon as the seller. Sometimes you can get a little better pricing by shopping at 3rd party sellers, such as with the DCF860 8Ah PowerPack kit discussed above.

I also found a “buy more, save more” type of deal:

So no more blue accent tabless batteries? And why the gray accent on the 8amp, but no color accent on the 4amp

The PowerPack tabless Li-ion batteries always looked like this – are you thinking of PowerStack? The changed the styling of the pouch cell batteries last year.

The PowerPack 4Ah looks to have a grey stripe too. I haven’t seen one in person yet.

I’m a little confused too, has Dewalt given up on PS batteries? I really like the 1.7 size for use around the garage.

A bit off topic – but MaxTool says you can get 15% off on Milwaukee items today – with code NPD15. I tried to use it for a knockout punch (still on my gift list) and it was OOS.

I expect to see a lot of that from most Milwaukee dealers. 15% off in-stock tends to be a recurring holiday deal that they all offer at different times.
