I wish we got sales like this in the UK, but we just don’t have anything close.

Thanks for sharing!!! Perfect timing as I was looking for a jig saw….
I thought I was going to be able take advantage of this deal and buy a Dewalt DW31K but then found this….

“Ineligible for our DEWALT Father’s Day Promotion. We’re sorry that this item is not eligible for our DEWALT Father’s Day promotion.”

Maybe I can find a Bosch unit. Sale seems to be sparse on jigsaws for some reason. Give me a heads up if anyone has any advice.

CPO has the DeWalt DW331K jig saw as part of their current $20 off $100 promo but you’ll pay shipping unless you add to the order to get to $199 and free shipping.

I dont but to be honest Ive thought of getting one solely based on price and i’m a fan of porter cable.

Their newer tools are really nice and made quite well.

Ive been thinking of the pc600js or the 20v max one since i have bought into their 20v max cordless line which have been nothing more than exceptional in feel and power.

the PC600JS seems to get pretty good reviews, sadly alot of folks are anti porter cable nowadays. In my opinion hard to beat for the price.

Bill K and others, here’s an indepth review of jigsaws, including the DW331. He gives more points to other saws. Since many of these brands will have a discount, I thought this might come in handy.

I wish it were 10%, or even better, 20% off, rather than a flat amount. I’m looking at a XR combo and the 611Pk, both of which bust far past the $100 level.

I’ve been told that there’s always a very small margin on power tools, especially cordless power tools. Percent-off sales wouldn’t be feasible for even the largest retailers to offer.

It might be helpful if you post the percent discounts these deals translate to if you get close to the minimum purchase amount. For example, the PC deal is 20 pct while Dremel is 13 pct. That way could be easier to make comparisons.

If I post something saying that the Dewalt $20 off $100 promo is equivalent to a 20% maximum discount when you spend exactly $100, do you know how many angry emails I would receive from people who expected a 20% discount on their $500 orders?!

I see your point, but I really don’t see the value to anyone if I were to compare the equivalent maximum percentage discounts for the different brands. This is something anyone can do themselves quite easily.

            I must just be a cheapskate 🙂

Personally, I find these $X off a $Y purchase to be yawn inducing since they seem to get offered every father’s day, black Friday, and X-mas, but it is nice they count with things that are already on sale (whether the “sale” price is a good deal is another rant). A couple holidays back I got a Bosch colt router for about $80 with the $20 off, while they were about $99 everywhere else.

            Thanks for sharing.

PS it looks like Amazon also has a $10 off of a $50+ purchase, as well. It is listed on the deals page as I type this.

I wall all excited to go use this on a pair of 20v dewalt batteries. They list at $120 so I’d get the pair for $100. Then… I check Home Depot online and they show at $95 a pair plus 5 dollar shipping. Looks like Amazon is inflating the price before discounting it.

Looks like the DeWalt and SOG deals have been extended.

    $20 off $100 DeWalt purchase. June 18 – June 30
    15% off SOG. June 20 – July 5
