Amazon’s 2nd round of tool brand discounts went live a few days ago, warranting an update.
As in past years, there are bound to be lots of Lightning Tool deals on Black Friday and throughout the rest of the holiday season. They’re good enough that I usually get in on a few of the deals, but not hot enough for me to stay glued to my computer.

These money-off discounts sometimes stack on top of lighting deals, but that seems to be the exception, and not the rule.
The discounts should apply to your order before checkout. If not, check to make sure that the items you’re ordering are eligible for the promo and sold directly by Amazon.

The Stanley deal doesn’t work – it says “Discount automatically applied at checkout” but it doesn’t happen. I emailed Amazon last week, but they did not email back (they never do)
Stuart
I just checked, adding 5 tape measures and a small screwdriver to my order. Discount appeared at checkout no problem.
Can you email me a screenshot or list of items so I can check?
Amazon always emails me back. Maybe a call or chat is better when it’s about placing a new order.
Brian
It is random. I went to the 10th item on the front of the sale page – “Stanley STST14027 SortMaster Tool Organizer” and put 6 in cart – no discount. Same with “Stanley 014725 25-Removable Compartment Professional Organizer” (both are on the front page of the sale, no discount). When I tried the tape measures, it did work (but I don’t want their tape measures). I don’t know whether their sort function is broken or the sale is broken, but a majority of the items in the “special” section are apparently not on sale.

I wish the Bosch deal were more like $50 off. 😀
I’ve had my eye on a Bosch 1250DEVS for a while now…
Stuart
They do have $50 off $200 promos every now and then, but they’re restrictive.

Does the 25 off 100 on Dewalt stack with the buy a tool kit get 2 bare tools free?
Stuart
Not that I could see.
WPNZ
No it dosn’t

I’m having trouble with the Stanley deal too. Some of the things on the page show the deal at the bottom of the listing, some don’t. Those that don’t also don’t show up in the cart with the discount. Others do.
Stuart
That sucks, I wish I could help.
Are some items not eligible because they’re not available from Amazon directly?
I’m sure there are some Amazon managers who frequent ToolGuyd. I can only hope that someone reads this and gets the promo fixed.
ktash
Thanks, Stuart. I hope they get it fixed, too. (The items were from Amazon directly).
Phil
The Makita deal not including the sub-compact drills is lame.
Flyer
They have a $10 off $50 deal for Kershaw now.
