Amazon is Having a Random Tool Sale – Save 15%!

Amazon Random Tool Coupon Sale November 2025

Amazon has kicked off a new coupon discount offer where you can save 15% when you buy $99+ of select tools and related gear.

Their selection seems very random, but is filled with name-brand tools, quite a few of which I purchased in the past, and others that are on my shopping list.

Amazon doesn’t say much about this tool deal, other than it being a limited-time offer. There’s no guidance about when the deal ends, which could be tonight or a month from now. The discount is automatically applied at checkout.

Update 11/18: it appears that the sale is over!

That looks to be a limited quantity flash sale.

I bought that DeWalt 4 port charger in June. Right now it loads into my cart at $299, but if I check the price history, the Rufus AI has the current price at $217, and under $210 as recently as October.

It’s a great charger, but $299 is way to high.

      Oops, paid $207 in June.

I see $299 on the promo page, but $254.28 on the product page via the link above, and 15% on top of that takes it down to $216.

I think Home Depot’s deal is better, where you get the charger plus 2 batteries for $299, but for folks that just want the charger $216 after coupon seems to be a good price.

Online price trackers shown that the Amazon-direct price was only as low as $214 in recent months, and typically a bit more than that, and that it usually sits at $299.

Rufus is deeply flawed and outputted garbage the few times I tested it.

For this product, the options are to get the HD deal, get it on Amazon at what looks to be a decent discount, or wait until a better price comes along. Frankly, I don’t think a better price is going to come along. Amazon is offering free refund/replacement thru January 31st. Return-rebuys can be a hassle, but that could be an option.

Just saw the $254 price. Agreed, the Home Depot deal is better.

The very first item shown from the Amazon link is 15% off a chartreuse Flexzilla hose priced at $19.98, so the discount price is $16.98 with 15% off.

Fair enough, but there are four alternative colors available for that same hose. If you select any of those instead – without getting the discount – the price ranges from $12.40 to $16.79. So the most expensive option is the one that Amazon has on sale.

This is a familiar tactic from many big retailers. Bump the price, then offer a some discount to make the consumer feel like they are getting a bargain. Don’t fall for it.

To be clear, I’m not suggesting that there are no bargains to be found in this random tool sale. There may well be. And of course you can just hang on anything you buy for 30 days to see if a better price comes along. But be very, very wary of Amazon inducing you to buy stuff in a “random” sale.

The “slate grey” is cheapest at $12.40. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1LDNQKJ?tag=toolguyd-20

I’m calling it a random sale because the selection seems very varied and deliberate but random to me.

I included a link to a Dewalt drill bit set deal yesterday – https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079VJMH6T?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=toolguyd-20 .

A reader pointed out a mistake nearby in the post, and so I opened a bunch of links. This one went from I believe $28 after coupon to $30 and eligible for 15% off $99+.

So I updated the post and took a closer look here.

$30 minus 15% is $25.50, which is better than it was the day before, although it does require $99+ in eligible tools. I checked Lowe’s, and they have it for $30.

Deals like this do require some legwork.

At least one reader has been on the lookout for Bora sawhorse deals. The XT set is included in this promo = https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLSB4YPJ?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=toolguyd-20 .

Amazon has it at $140 before coupon. Acme and Home Depot have the same price (before coupon in the case of Acme).

It does require some due diligence to know or compare pricing. Normally I try to do that in deal posts, but there are too many eligible items here. I did find some of the deals compelling (such as the drill bit set and Klein wire strippers), otherwise I wouldn’t have posted about it.

If anyone’s wondering, those Klein strippers (used to be Klein Kurve, I think), are pretty dang good. The whole line of them is good. I’ve had mine for a long time and haven’t had a chance/reason to try any of the forged types to see if they suit me better, so I can’t compare.

But they’re sharp, slim to fit into a tool belt pocket, easy to use. Price is fair too.
