I bought a pair of these, and out of 4 clamps, one had mis-aligned threads — still workable, but I need to find the time/effort to return it, which cuts into the value proposition.
John
Just bought two packs. Bessey clamps at Harbor Freight prices is a no brainer. Thanks!
MoogleMan3
Tempted, but I’m still undecided. These are bessey’s madi in china very budget line.
Still, they’re decent clamps…
Jaycob P.
I ordered a pack. These should supplement to the $20 holiday two pack of Jorgenson clamps I got at Lowes and be a good upgrade from my old Harbor Freight F clamps.
Scott
I bought this pack from HD a little over a week ago for $10 more. Clamps have worked great….no issues. I thought $25 was a good price but $15 is indeed no-brainer territory
Jay
Scott, I did the exact same thing…I’ve had them for all of 3-4 days and then boom! $10 off the price I gave…smdh
Jim Felt
Me too.

If HD won’t price adjust just buy more and return them under the previous receipt.
Might not be worth it for $10.
Clay
I went in for a pack an hour or so ago.
HD website said they had 7 in stock; I found one. It was still listed at $25 and rang up that way, but the friendly self-checkout attendant adjusted it for me after I showed her the website and matched the sky.
I purchased this same set a few years ago and they have served me well.
I also have some Dewalt clamps from HD in the same sizes. I don’t think they carry those anymore.

Indeed, too tempting by far… I manged to limit myself to only one set because I have twelve of the 6″ ones from previous promotions. I like them a lot, they are my go-too for most situations. Until I have a bigger shop, I have got to stop buying clamps!

Great for someone on a budget, but I will never go back to twist to tighten style clamps after using quick clamps. They mar the surface because of a smaller foot and the twisting motion. And I have never found that 300 lbs of pressure from a quick clamps isn’t enough. The quick clamps is also a spreader and you can link them together to make a longer clamp in a pinch.
fred
Camping cauls or hardwood blocks are the answer to the marring problem.
And you may not need a lot of clamping pressure depending on the work you do. But for hardwood glue-ups (like a rock maple tabletop) clamping with a quick clamp may lead to poor joint strength and/or joint failure over time.
DAVID
And quick clamps often pull pieces out of alignment when the jaws close; maddening during complex glue-ups. These twist tight clamps greatly reduce swear jar contributions. I get more every year at this time.
FWIW, I’m not getting the option of free shipping.
fred
Clamping individual boards into a panel (e.g. tabletop) can be frustrating in trying to keep the boards in alignment at the ends and everywhere along the face of the glue joint. There are specialized “panel clamps” that press both along the axis of the clamp and top to bottom. We had a panel clamp rack in the cabinet shop and some Taylor (JLT) clamping machines that realy speed things up. But their cost is way beyond the typical home shop. For me – I often use spring joints – but add dominoes for alignment to keep the boards co-planar. I also sometimes just use bar clamps with some old Jorgensen edge clamps as Amazon shows here with Bessey ones:
https://www.amazon.com/Bessey-5-1XXX-Edge-Clamp/dp/B0000DD2QH/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=Panel+Clamps&qid=1607888832&sr=8-9
Waxed paper under that top clamping caul is your friend in that setup – otherwise the glue squeeze-out will affix the caul to the panel
DAVID
I tend to do long groupings, used for legs. So, I end up with a bunch of clamps spread along a narrow group. In these situations, I’ve had much better experience with F-clamps that close without shifting the pieces out of alignment — which isn’t always the case with quick clamps.(which are perfect for quickly securing pieces to a bench or other work surface)
Agree with wax paper comment; I keep a roll in the shop just for that purpose.

I ordered a set. I couldn’t get the free shipping so I went to pick them up curbside. When I got there, they couldn’t find the set so they offered a 36″ clamp at the sale price for the set (regular price $20). I didn’t want one clamp so I countered with an offer to buy a second clamp at the same price. They brought 2 36″ clamps for the original $15. It probably helped that for some reason the store manager was running curbside orders.
DAVID
That sort of thing is not unusual in my experience at big boxes. They often throw some money at you when they screw up. A good store manager will jump in when it’s busy. Good that you still got a good deal / better deal.
Koko The Talking Ape
(sigh) I give up. Bought two sets.
Rafe
This set used to sell at HD for around 18$ I think. I bought a few of em back then because I thought it was a great deal. Every once in a while I need a ton of small clamps for something and they come in really handy.
Itisnotme
No free shipping. Must pick up in store.
Evan
I made the jump and purchased these as well, shop is getting full!

I went to 2 HDs in NJ, the one in Ewing / Trenton had them and the price had to be adjusted at the register. The website did not let me order them. I left 3 packs on the Shelf if that helps anyone, that was 11:00 on Sunday. These are great for a hobbyist like me, not as my GOTOs but to use when I need more clamping and fall back on the rest of the collection. And maybe they will act as Decoys and the boy will take these and not my GOTO ones?

Deal is gone.
Price changed before my eyes. When I clicked the link, it was $15. When I added to cart they were $25 again. I clinked the link from Toolguyd again and the price was now $25.
Brian Rossetti
Thanks for the tip. Great deal. I ordered and picked up two sets for welding purposes. I had to retrieve these from the online order locker, as delivery ootion was not available. This was super easy. These have longer screw compared to the HF version. This simple detail allowed me to reach over and clamp 1 1/2 angle iron.
Charlie
It’s back at $24.97 now. Please notify us it it returns to the $15 sale price.
MichaelT
Bought four at that price last night for curbside pickup. They cancelled my order this morning when they magically couldn’t find them.
Vards Uzvards
In summer months this set of clamps was under $17 for several weeks, as far as I remember.
Stuart
Possibly Father’s Day remnants?
Vards Uzvards
Very possible.
bob
yep, regular price.
seems i ALWAYS get toolguyd notices, 3 days late, and miss alot of deals, which i guess, is great on the wallet
Stuart
If you are subscribed to the daily newsletter and it’s not coming through, I can look into it.
To date, 100% of the complaints I have received were because subscribers opted for the weekly newsletter subscription and not the daily subscription option.
If you are unable to change your subscription settings (there is a link at the bottom of every email), I can do it for you.
We’ve talked about this before:
August: https://toolguyd.com/tool-deal-email-notifications-update-2020/
November: https://toolguyd.com/tool-deal-email-subscription-reminder-112020/
I am not allowed to send more emails than you signed up for.
I issued a reminder a month ago, with mention that subscribers could change to daily frequently for the holiday season and change back to weekly after, depending on their preferences.
I am sorry you missed out, but what would have had me do?
bob
you da man! thanks, updated.
Stuart
Glad to hear it!
Next year I might add a notice at the top of newsletters with a reminder, just in case, if I can find language that’s not too pushy.

Home Depot had six packs of these clamps (all 6″) for $10 a couple of years ago. I still have the two packs I bought; still unopened. The Jorgensen clamps are far superior. Worth the extra money, IMHO.
Robert Adkins
Missed it! I like Bessies, and $20 is still a good price, but I have too many clamps already.
ed
Missed it. Now $27. Oh well. Duh, I didn’t have daily notice… my bad.
