Milwaukee M18 2691-22 Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit

A reader askedĀ about which was a better deal – Dewalt’s 20V Max promo bundle, or Kobalt’s? My answer: Milwaukee’s.

Good News: Milwaukee’s M18 cordless drill and impact driver kit, 2691-22, is on sale on Black Friday at Home Depot.

Better News: It’s on sale right now at the same price!

This combo kit is regularly $199, and I’m pretty sure it goes on sale for $179. But this $149 sale? I think it only comes around once or twice a year.

You get the M18 2606 drill/driver, 2656 impact driver, 2 compact Li-ion battery packs, a multi-voltage charger, and carrying case.

If all you’re looking for is a good compact cordless drill and impact driver combo, this is the kit I’d buy right now, whether for personal use or to give as a gift.

And if you’re thinking of buying into a cordless power tool lineup, this is a good gateway kit, but keep in mind that heavier duty tools run a lot better with higher capacity battery packs.

Home Depot says the price is good thru 12/4/2016.

If you just want a cordless drill kit, or an impact driver kit, the tool with free flashlight kits dropped in price to their Black Friday 2016 pricing of $99 each.

This is a good deal, I can’t help but wonder if Dewalt’s Flexvolt, is getting Milwaukee to scramble for market share. Even if that’s the case: The deal may run through December but at this price supplies may not.

The greatest part of Flex volt is the battery generator & miter saw. Otherwise I think they are incredibly heavy for what you get compared to Milwaukee.

There seems to be very little Milwaukee can’t handle with their 9ah batteries. And it doesn’t seem like there is a patent that prevents them from pairing up batteries for future tools, if they need to

I bought this. As far as I can tell. It’s a great deal. The batteries are 1.5ah, which isn’t great, but I’m using these as a home owner. The batteries are more than enough, plus there are two of them!
