This roundup includes what we consider to be the very best tool deals of the season at the most popular tool retailers.

Note: Prices are accurate at the time of this posting.
Streamlight MicroStream Flashlight

The Streamlight Microstream is a compact AAA LED flashlight with an excellent reputation.
It’s on sale a great price right now, but not that its availability has been pushed back a little. Check out the Stylus Pro, which is also on sale right now, if you want a longer penlight-style flashlight.
Milwaukee FastBack Utility Knife Set

I’m torn as to which of these utility knives I like better. The compact Fastback has been my go-to, but Milwaukee’s 6-in-1 has greater functionality, including a fold-out bit screwdriver. With this bundle deal, no one has to choose – you get both.
Dewalt Folding Workbench

I love this Dewalt workbench – mine has been serving me well for around 6 years now.
Husky Adjustable Height Workbench

Husky’s adjustable height workbenches are great for all kinds of user needs and work environments. This one has two drawers, and you get casters and leveling feet. It’s a good fit in the home, garage, or basement.

Gearwrench Microdriver Tool Set

This compact Gearwrench tool set comes with a bit ratchet, screwdriver bits, and a couple of sockets. It’s an incredibly convenient mini tool set.
Dewalt Shallow Pro Organizer

These organizers are fantastic for organizing small tools, parts, supplies, and mor, and tey connect together for easier storage and carrying.
Ridgid Wet/Dry Shop Vacuum

This Ridgid shop vacuum looks to offer a lot of bang for the buck. It features a 16 gallon collection bin, 2-1/2″ hose and accessories, blowing port, and built-in drain.
Milwaukee 27-in-1 Multi-Bit Ratcheting Screwdriver

Everyone can use a good multi-bit screwdriver. Maybe get one for the workshop or tool bag, and one for household use.
Olight Baton 3 Rechargeable Flashlight

The Baton 3 is my favorite Olight rechargeable flashlight. It’s bright, compact, and its magnetic tailcap adds to its convenience.
If you’re not ready for a rechargeable light, take a look at the i3E and i3T lights, which are powered by AAA batteries.
Irwin Quick-Grip Clamps

These Irwin 6″ one-handed clamps are a workshop staple at a great value.
If you want something different, there’s a Dewalt 2-pack special buy at Home Depot right now. Or go old-school with beefier bar clamps.
Bosch 100ft Laser Measurer

Bosch has a decent 65ft laser measurer deal at stores right now for $40. However, Amazon dropped the price of this more accurate 100ft laser distance measuring tool from $55 to $40.
Let’s see – old design with 65ft range and worse accuracy, or new design with 100ft range and better accuracy? Bosch also says this new model is brighter.
Dewalt Atomic 25′ Tape Measure 2-Pack

I really like these Dewalt Atomic 25ft tape measures, and 2-for-$20 seems like a great price.
Not a fan of the color? Home Depot also has a 2-pack of Milwaukee 25ft magnetic-hook tape measures for about the same price.
Ridgid Pro Gear System Rolling Tool Box

This rolling tool cart offers a lot by itself, and can be expanded upon with connectable tool boxes and organizers from the brand’s Pro Gear modular tool box system.
Bosch 5″ Random Orbital Sander

A good 5″ sander is essential for anyone working with wood.
Bosch Compact Trim Router

Step up your woodworking game with this well-regarded compact router. With the right router bit, it can give your work a nice edge treatment, cut dadoes and grooves, and more.
Bosch 2.25HP Router Set

You can do a lot with a compact router, but a full-size router can do even more. This popular Bosch set comes with plunge and fixed bases, and can be used with 1/4″ and 1/2″ shank router bits.
Bosch Router Bit Sets

If you need some router bits, this Bosch 10pc set is on sale right now. It has a mix of 1/4″ and 1/2″ shank tools.
For compact router users, there’s also a 6pc 1/4″ shank bit set. Both sets are also eligible for added coupon savings where you save $20 on $100+ Bosch router accessories.
Metabo HPT 4-1/2″ Angle Grinder

This tends to be a popular deal every year.
Craftsman Magnetic Parts Trays

These collapsible magnetic parts trays are convenient and well-made, not to mention a great value.
Dewalt 14pc Drill Bit Set

These are good drill bits at an incredible value.
Dewalt MaxFit Screwdriver Bit Set

This is a good set of impact-rated screwdriver bits.
Looking for more options? 9 Milwaukee Packout-Compatible Drill and Screwdriver Bit Sets are on Sale
Milwaukee 1/4″ Mechanics Tool Set

This is a rather spartan 1/4″ mechanics tool set. If you need more, there are also special buys on select larger sets.
Bosch FlexiClick Drill/Driver and Oscillating Tool Bundle

Bosch has had rather weak cordless power tool deals so far this holiday season, but this one almost makes up for it.
This 12V Max brushless power tool bundle comes with the multi-head modular drill/driver and a Starlock-equipped oscillating multi-tool.
Makita 18V Cordless Stick Vacuum Kit

This looks to be a good bundle deal, where you get the Makita 18V cordless vacuum, 2Ah battery, and a charger for the same price as the tool-only vacuum.
Milwaukee 15pc Impact-Rated Drill Bit Set

While I don’t make a habit to drill holes with my impact driver, it’s good to be able to. These drill bits will fit the chucks of standard impact drivers as well as cordless drills.
Milwaukee M18 Brushless Drill Kit

As expected – and hoped for – there’s a special buy on the new Milwaukee M18 compact brushless drill/driver kit.
This kit gives you the drill, a 2Ah battery, charger, and tool bag.
Dewalt Atomic 20V Max Cordless Drill Kit

There are 4, maybe 5 different Dewalt cordless drill kit deals right now, all at the $99 price point.
In my opinion, this Atomic series special buy is the best one, featuring Dewalt’s latest compact 20V Max brushless motor drill, a 2Ah battery, charger, and tool bag.
Metabo HPT 18V SubCompact Drill Kit

If you’re looking for something a little less expensive, Metabo HPT’s latest version of their 18V SubCompact brushless drill is bundled with 2x 2Ah batteries, a charger, and tool case for around $89.
Skil 12V PWR Core Drill Kit

This Skil 12V Max brushless drill kit should outperform a lot of the DIY brand special buys out there right now.
Ryobi 18V Starter Kit + FREE TOOL Bundle

For $99, you get a 2-pack of batteries, a charger, and your choice of free tool. This is the best and most compelling Ryobi cordless power tool deal I have ever seen for Black Friday.
Dewalt 20V Max Starter Kit + FREE TOOL

This is a phenomenal deal, especially when you consider that the starter kit comes with a 4Ah battery and High Output-style 6Ah battery.
If I didn’t already buy a couple of these tools, I’d definitely get them as part of this deal.
Milwaukee M18 Starter Kit + FREE TOOL

There’s a similar Milwaukee M18 cordless power tool deal right now. The tire inflator, brushless router, brushless blower, or Surge impact driver would be my top picks.
Looking for more “free tool” deals like these? Check out Home Depot’s FREE Cordless Power Tool Deals
Bosch Oscillating Multi-Tool Blades

These Bosch Swiss-made carbide-tooth oscillating multi-tool blades are excellent.
This 10-pack is normally discounted as it’s bulk pack, but right now it’s on sale and eligible for added savings where you save 20% on eligible orders over $100. This looks to be a great opportunity to stock up on excellent OMT blades!
Dewalt Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit

There are a bunch of oscillating multi-tool kit special buys right now. If sticking to the $99 price point, I’d have to say that this Dewalt 20V Max XR brushless kit could be the best for most people.
This kit compromises by giving you a lower capacity battery, but you get the premium XR version of the tool, with 3 speed selector switch and variable speed trigger.
There’s also a Milwaukee brushed motor kit with compact 3Ah battery right now, and a Dewalt Atomic series brushless tool kit with 2Ah battery and charger.
Multi-Functional Ladder

Sometimes you need an extension ladder, other times you’ll need an A-frame ladder. Multi-functional ladders can serve many different roles.
I have been seriously considering this one, as it’s more compact and lighter than the one I bought a few years ago.
Lowe’s has a smaller ladder at the same price.
Dewalt Atomic 20V Max Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit

This 2-tool combo kit features Dewalt’s latest 20V Max Atomic series compact drill and impact driver, plus 2x 2Ah batteries, a charger, and a tool bag.
Milwaukee has a competing deal right now, at $189, and Metabo HPT has a $129 deal at Lowe’s.
Milwaukee M18 Brushless Impact Driver Kit

The latest Milwaukee M18 compact brushless impact driver kit is a special buy right now, for $99. It comes with the tool, a 2Ah battery, charger, and tool bag.
If you want something a little smaller, consider the M12 Fuel brushless impact driver kit at the same price.
If you want to know which deal I’d get for myself, it’s the Metabo HPT 18V Triple Hammer impact driver, which is bundled with 2x 2Ah batteries, a charger, and tool case for $129 right now.
Milwaukee M12 Fuel 5-Tool Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit

There are tons of cordless combo kits on sale right now, and you couldn’t go wrong with most of them.
This Milwaukee M12 Fuel combo kit deal especially caught my attention, as it offers a solid selection of brushless core tools at a fair price.
Milwaukee M18 9-Tool Cordless Combo Kit

This Milwaukee M18 cordless power tool combo kit offers a lot for users that want to start off with broad capabilities. It comes with 9 tools, 3 batteries, a charger, and a tool bag.
While these don’t represent Milwaukee’s latest and greatest offerings, you get more for your money.
If you prefer to get started with M18 Fuel tools, there’s a 7-tool special buy I think is worth considering.
Dewalt PowerStack Starter Kit 2 FREE TOOLS

This deal is similar to the one where you buy a starter kit for $199 and select a free tool, but you start off with a pair of Dewalt PowerStack batteries and select TWO free tools.
You get a compact 1.7Ah PowerStack battery, a 5Ah PowerStack battery, charger, and your selection of 2 free tools.
Dewalt 20V Max PowerStack batteries feature the brand’s latest pouch Li-ion battery technologies and are cross-compatible with their other 20V Max tools and chargers.
Dewalt 20V Max 3-Tool PowerStack Combo + 2 FREE TOOLS

With this deal, you start off with a Dewalt 20V Max 3-tool cordless power tool combo kit and select TWO FREE TOOLS.
This isn’t an ordinary cordless combo kit.
First, you start off with a FlexVolt Advantage premium brushless hammer drill and 7-1/4″ circular saw. FlexVolt Advantage tools are part of Dewalt’s 20V Max cordless lineup, and they receive a power boost when paired with a FlexVolt battery.
Basically, the hammer drill and circular saw are at the top of Dewalt’s line.
And, you also get two PowerStack pouch cell batteries – one of each kind – a fast 6-amp charger, LED worklight, and a tool bag
A FlexVolt 6Ah battery option is available as one of the free tool choices.
Milwaukee M18 Top-Off Power Adapter

The Milwaukee M18 Top-Off essentially transforms any of the brand’s M18 cordless power tool batteries into a portable power bank. This special buy bundles the power adapter with a High Output 6Ah battery.
The Top-Off can charge devices via its AC port, USB-A, and USB-C ports – simultaneously.
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Cordless Chainsaw Kit and Blower Bundle

If you’re looking to upgrade to battery-powered outdoor tools, this deal bundle features a 16″ chainsaw, blower, High Output 12Ah battery, and charger.
Dewalt 192pc Mechanics Tool Set

This Dewalt 192pc mechanics tool set looks to be a good value with a lot of sockets and little to no “fillers.”
There are some hex keys and bit sockets, but unlike many tool sets at this price point, the Dewalt set doesn’t have dozens of cheap screwdriver bits or similar.
Instead, this set focuses on sockets, and I like that it includes several extension sizes for each ratchet and drive size – 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″.
Ridgid 12″ Miter Saw with Rolling Stand

This Ridgid promo bundles a 12″ sliding miter saw, with LED cut line indicator and dual bevel range, with a rolling miter saw stand that’s available for $219 separately.
There are bound to be more miter saw Doorbuster deals and flash sales – there always are – but this looks to be a good deal on a solid bundle, at least if you need or could use the rolling stand too.

This summary is my favorite Black Friday post so far. Thank you for this. I prefer the Dewalt quick clamps over the Irwin’s. I went to HD to purchase the special price 2 pack 6 inch clamps, however, the better deal is the 4 pack of 2-12 inch 300 psi and 2-6 inch 100 psi clamps for $37. https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-Medium-and-Large-Trigger-Clamp-4-Pack-DWHT83196/205086878
Stuart
That’s a great deal too – I bought two packs in the past, mainly for the larger and better-featured 12″ clamps.
The 6-inch clamps are alright, but I can’t say whether they’re worth double the price of the Irwin ones.
Thanks! This post is half deal guide, and half rundown of what my tool deal shopping list would look like.
MoogleMan3
Just a heads up, those new irwin clamps are crap compared to the old ones with the yellow pads. They constantly bind up. The dewalts are much nicer, as are the besseys (my favorites).
Stuart
When did you try them?
My favorites are Bessey Kliklamp (reviewed here), but at $26 each at Amazon right now, they’re not exactly budget-friendly. I still only have a pair of them.
MoogleMan3
I grabbed a couple of the 4 packs for the same price this time last year; very disappointed in them. They’re not as well built as the yellow padded, older ones, and with the older ones, you could easily slid the clamping head in place. On the new ones, you have to press the release lever to be able to move the head.
This is the bessey set I grabbed from hope depot:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/BESSEY-Trigger-Clamp-Set-Containing-2-Each-of-EHKM06-and-EHKL12-4-Piece-RES01/313870117
A while back it was $39.97 for the 4 pack. They’re excellent. Smooth movement, and I love how easy they are to release.
The dewalts are very similar to the older irwins.
MoogleMan3
*$29.97 for the four pack, not $39.97.
jake
Thank you for the link to the Bessey Kliklamps.
I know this is out of context but would you know if the heavier Bessey All Steel Ratcheting Table Clamps would work with the Milwaukee rail guides?
Stuart
I don’t know. They’re similar if not identical to the Festool ones. I am not able to immediately check for this, and it will take me time until I can.
Tool Junkie
The Dewalt tape measure 2 pack only has horizontal markings on the front of the tape. The backs have nothing on them.
The Milwaukee 2 pack has horizontal markings on the front and vertical markings on the back. They are the better value.
Fowler
I went to Home Depot to get the 25′ Milwaukee tapes on sale, but I ended up finding the DeWalt atomics instead, which I think are my new favorite tape measures. They fit in my hand better than any of the other 25′ tapes I tried, the blade is stiff and doesn’t flex as much at the Milwaukee, and the lock actuates easily
Benjamen
I picked up the Dewalt 20V Max XR OMT kit last time it was on sale for $99 at ACME and it is a fantastic tool for $99. Being cordless and toolless makes it so much easier to grab for simple tasks — my last OMT was corded and you had to change blades with a hex wrench while struggling with blade alignment.
MM
My first OMT was a corded model from Dremel that I received as a gift. It required a wrench to change or index blades. That plus the cord was a huge hassle but it opened my eyes to what could be done with an OMT. I bought the Dewalt XR with the accessory kit a few years ago and I’ve been super happy with it. The ergonomics are great, it has plenty of power, no cord hassles, changing or moving blades is darn near instantaneous with the trigger release, the variable speed control works well. It’s a very well thought out tool. The accessory kit is solid too, the depth guide and the sanding attachment are both useful and the storage box it comes with is very durable.
Koko The Talking Ape
I’ve been happy with mine too. My first OMT, and it sure is handy for certain cuts. Lacking a cord really helps, I think. You’re always twisting and turning it to get the right approach, and a cord would get in the way.
Garrick
I’m hoping for some deals in Bora’s Speedhorse XT and the Portacube. 🤞
Leo B.
https://fastenersinc.net/products/bora-pm-4550-adjustable-speedhorse-xt
Good deal here on the XT!
Stuart
Lowe’s looks to have similar for $60
Amazon has a 2-pack for $120.
Garrick
Those aren’t the Speedhorse XT though.
Stuart
Ah – sorry, you’re right – Speedhorse vs Speedhorse XT.
Speedhorse XT 2-pack is $140 at Amazon
$69 for one vs $140 for two doesn’t seem different.
Geneva Flores
I am looking for 1/2″ impact gun with battery and charger $299 until 11/22 but will it be a better price black Friday like last year
Stuart
It’s possible. You can always watch inventory levels and end dates and wait for a better deal that might or might not appear.
Or buy and then rebuy and return if you see a better deal. This is least risky and most convenient in my opinion.
Scott K
I got a DeWalt parts organizer and I’m going to pick up the Milwaukee ratcheting screwdriver- I tried GearWrench’s, but I didn’t like it. One of the bits could only be removed from the storage tube with needle nose pliers and the cap threads didn’t seem like they’d last.
Home Depot hasn’t seemed to have replenished the leaf blower, so I think I’ll buy a starter kit and and return the free tool- DirectTools has a few on sale.
Joe A
Any good deals on cordless chainsaws in either the yellow or lime varieties? Something in the 14″ to 16″ range. I haven’t seen anything impressive as of yet.
Stuart
No – I’ve only seen Milwaukee bundles so far. I’ll keep my eyes open, but I’m also not very familiar with chainsaw pricing.
Scott K
You mentioned lime- I have the 12” brushless Ryobi 18v chainsaw- I got lucky a few years ago and there was a bundle with a 4ah and charger for less than the bare tool. I want to say around Labor Day.
I bought this after a big storm dropped lots of limbs that I couldn’t manage with my bow saw. I would absolutely buy this again. It’s been excellent for storm cleanup and it can be used to break down wider logs if you’re patient. Very simple to keep clean due to the tool free chain tensioner and ease of removing the bar.
Not sure which platform you’re on, but the 14” 40v is a special buy at HD right now.
Scott K
Just thought I’d share this link I saw posted by Wirecutter. No experience with their battery powered tools- my gas mower has held up really nicely.
https://www.husqvarna.com/us/chainsaws/power-axe-350i-battery-and-charger-included/
Bret Smith
I love Milwaukee power tools but the hand tools are way overpriced and overrated
Joellikestools
Yup. I haven’t been to impressed with most of their hand tools. I like the fastback knives. The demo screwdrivers are ok. The rebranded Empire levels and squares are good. I do not like their pliers.
Koko The Talking Ape
My 3/8″ ratchet set has been good for me. The sockets don’t roll and are clearly marked, which I like a lot.
OldDominionDIYer
They’re not cheap but mine have performed fantastic. I’m really happy with them. I saw a test on youtube and the Milwaukee ratchet came out on top of even Snap-On and Mac tools. Absolutely love the square ended sockets! just brilliant!
Neil
I’ve been shopping around for a Dewalt 12v or 20v ratchet. Lowes and Acme Tools both have the new DCF510GE2 with interchangeable 3/8 and 1/2 anvil bundled with (2) powerstack batteries and new compact charger for $279. Seems like a good deal, I’m surprised it didn’t get a mention in either stores Black Friday ad. My local Lowes only has 1 in stock and you can only order it for in store pickup so maybe that has something to do with it.
Home Depot has the same kit listed for $399 currently. Acme and Amazon has the similar DCF510GE1 kit but only (1) battery for $249.
https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-20V-Ratchet-Kit-2-POWERSTACK-Battery/5014688325
https://www.acmetools.com/dewalt-20v-3-8in-1-2in-sealed-head-ratchet-kit-dcf510ge2/885911951715.html
Big Richard
The bare tool is $249 (which is nuts), so $279 for a 2x oil resistant PowerStack kit is pretty decent. Still a lot for a ratchet, imo.
