As many ToolGuyd readers know, I have been covering Black Friday and holiday tool deals for many years now.
Part of why I spend so much time analyzing all of the very many tool deals that we see for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the surrounding holiday shopping season, is because it helps me answer the wave of questions this time of year always brings.
Here are some of the types of questions that I am asked:
What’s a good drill?
Are there any good miter saw promotions?
Which portable table saw would you buy?
Are there any woodworking deals?
Can you recommend a heavy duty impact wrench?
For so many of these and other questions, all I really have to do is point to DeWALT. At one time or another, I have recommended every single one of the tools featured below.

DeWALT is sponsoring some of ToolGuyd’s holiday coverage this year, and you will soon see some of the fun things that this entails. What better way to kick things off than with a look at some of the best holiday deals on DeWALT power tools.
And, the best part is that the sales are happening now at participating DeWALT retailers.
At this point, some of you are saying “but I’ve already got the basics!” We’ve got you covered, and so does DeWALT – check out DeWALT’s latest promotions page, as well as the product links below, and you can be sure that there’s more to come.
Note: The pricing discussed below can be found at participating DeWALT retailers.
DeWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX* Brushless Compact 1/2″ Drill/Driver Kit – DCD708C2

Why buy the DeWALT Atomic 20V Max cordless drill/driver kit when there are so many competing options at the same price point? It offers a great balance between power and size, and I’ve found its handle ergonomics to be perfectly dialed in.
Plus, you get two batteries, which means more time working and less time waiting on the charger.
Priced as low as $99 (normally as high as $159)
DeWALT 20V MAX* 1/4″ Brushless Cordless Impact Driver Kit – DCF840C2

This is actually a brand new model brushless impact driver, and so I have not tested it myself yet, but I am very eager to get my hands on one. (In fact, this very kit is on my shopping list.)
The DCF840 impact driver is compact, lightweight, and powerful, with a 1700 in-lbs max torque rating. It also has a 3-LED light centered around the bit chuck for even illumination.
Priced as low as $99 (normally as high as $159)
DeWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX* Brushless Cordless 2-Tool Combo Kit – DCK278C2

If you’re looking for a compact cordless drill/driver and impact combo kit, this brushless duo won’t disappoint.
I think this combo is one of the best values for the money.
If you read through customer reviews (and you should), you’ll see the same feedback repeated over and over – everyone seems to love how powerful these Atomic Series tools are for their size.
Priced as low as $149 (normally as high as $229)
DeWALT 20 MAX* XR Brushless High Torque 1/2″ Impact Wrench with Dent Pin Anvil (4.0 Ah) – DCF899M1

Delivering up to 700 ft-lbs of max fastening torque and 1200 ft-lbs of max breakaway torque, here’s your next heavy-duty impact wrench.
It features a brushless motor, multi-speed control, and LED light with 20 second delay. With everything this DeWALT impact offers, it just might turn your favorite air impact into a paperweight.
(I’ve still held onto my test sample, and it often comes out whenever a large fastener needs a little extra persuasion.)
Priced as low as $249 (normally as high as $319)
DeWALT 20V MAX* XR 3-Speed Cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit – DCS356C1

DeWALT’s 3-speed brushless oscillating multi-tool gives you multiple speed ranges and a variable speed trigger for greater control. Its Quick-Change accessory system is one of the best out there, and its LED worklight is a nice convenience.
I think this is the BEST oscillating multi-tool kit for anywhere close to $100, period.
Priced as low as $99 (normally as high as $179)
DeWALT 20V MAX* XR 5″ Cordless Random Orbital Sander Kit – DCW210D1

This kit gives you DeWALT’s excellent variable speed cordless sander, a charger, kit bag, and a 2.0Ah Li-ion battery.
When I found out a family member was refinishing wood furniture and struggling with an old corded sander that vibrated excessively, this is the sander kit I bought for them.
It’s a wonderful feeling to power-sand a project with cordless freedom.
Priced as low as $99 (normally as high as $199)
DeWALT 20V MAX* Compact 3.0 Ah Battery 2-Pack

The beauty of these DeWALT compact 3.0Ah batteries is that they pair nicely with both compact cordless power tools, and tools where you traditionally needed larger battery packs. They provide 3.0Ah capacity, but with reduced weight.
Priced as low as $99 (normally as high as $179)
DeWALT 12″ Double-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw – DWS779

DeWALT would have you believe that their DWS779 12″ sliding miter saw delivers power, accuracy, precision, and cutting capacity – and they’re right. This saw has earned its place at the top of the bestsellers list.
The DWS779 has a 15A 3800 RPM motor, stainless steel miter detent plate with 10 positive stops, and dual bevel range adjustment. It can cut nested crown molding up to 7-1/2″, and dimensional lumber up to 2×14 at 90° and 2×10 at 45°.
Priced as low as $399 (normally as high as $549)
DeWALT 8-1/4″ Compact Jobsite Table Saw – DWE7485

There are 3 things you need to know about Dewalt’s portable table saws: their rack and pinion fence design is second to none, they power through cutting tasks with gusto, and they come with easy-to-use safety accessories that are conveniently stowed for transport or storage.
Priced as low as $299 (normally as high as $399)
DeWALT 20V MAX* 10 Tool Combo Kit – DCK1020D2

Some tool users prefer to build their kit slowly, with every purchasing decision requiring careful deliberation. Others want maximum bang for the buck and don’t want to get tackling their projects right away. This 10-tool combo kit is for the latter type of shopper, and it brings to the table a broad range of capabilities at a reasonable price point.
This is one of the most popular deals every year, and the type of combo kit I am always asked about.
If you’re looking for something different, let me know and I can put some other recommendations together. Luckily, DeWALT always has a lot of great options to choose from.
Priced as low as $599 (normally as high as $899)
Tip: The 20V Max 3Ah battery 2-pack would be a great add-on to this or any other DeWALT 20V Max cordless combo kit.
* Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 20 volts. Nominal voltage is 18.

I think that Lowes has a fantastic price on the Dewalt XR Drill kit. $199 for DCD791 drill, charger and two 2.0Ah XR batteries. Plus, you get a free bare tool. I bought this deal with the brushless XR reciprocating saw. Two of their higher-end tools plus two batteries (and not the 1.3Ah ones) and a charger seems like a tremendous buy.

I think another great deal not listed here is that HD has their 20V MAX 300/450 impact wrench in 3/8 or 1/2 with a 5 AH battery for $199. Its a tool that I don’t often see on sale by itself or with only a battery.

There are a LOT more Dewalt cordless power tool deals. The ones detailed above are available at participating retailers, and there are also other retailer-specific promotions that fell outside this scope.
I have been compiling more great Dewalt tool promotions here:

The Atomic promotions are indeed really compelling – I purchase the new Atomic impact driver kit, and have been considering the new impact wrenches as well.

Stuart, any word on Dewalt Flexvolt deals?
Max Tool has a somewhat related offer: buy a Flexvolt Advantage starter kit and get 3 free tools, with a pretty good list to choose from. I haven’t seen much else for Flexvolt though.
Stuart
I’m still working on this.
So far, the FlexVolt Advantage + Free tools promotion is the hottest deal of the season. My local Home Depot just put several FlexVolt rear-handle circular saws on display. Their top-tier combo kit + tool gift offer includes a FlexVolt circular saw.
Multiple retailer have promotional pricing on the FlexVolt 6Ah battery 2-pack.
There usually are not many FlexVolt tool promotions, but additional retailer-specific offers might appear in flash sales.
Jason
Lowes has a deal on 12v 3ah battery with a bare tool for $49. But they have been sold out since coming out. Can choose from like 6 bare tools.
Stuart
I haven’t seen this at any of my stores yet, but will keep looking!

How is the sander the deal to get considering it’s been at $99 with a free 5.0 battery as well?
Stuart
I have not seen any such deal at any local or online retailers.
The DCW210D1 is the only 5″ ROS sander kit promotion I have seen anywhere yet. The only promotions I’ve seen that offer a free 5.0Ah battery involve the Atomic-series bare tools or kits at $199 each.
The tool-only sander (DCW210B) typically retailers for $99. Here, you get a full kit (DCW210D1) for the same price.
There will be a vendor-specific Black Friday deal where you get the tool-only sander with a 4.0Ah battery for $119. I like the deal discussed in the post better.

I just noticed that Acme has a couple of good deals going for Dewalt 20V max:
1) Buy two bare cordless tools get a free 2x pack of 5ah batteries
2) Buy a DCB246 starter pack (4ah battery, 6ah battery, charger & kit bag), get a free tool.
The first one is especially interesting since it’s available for a long list of tools many of which don’t normally go on special.
Stuart
That is a really good deal, and you’re right – it includes a lot of tools not normally included in promotions.
We have a separate page discussing that store’s deals – https://toolguyd.com/acme-tools-black-friday-2021-sale/
And there are a lot of other “free tool with purchase” offers, discussed here – https://toolguyd.com/best-dewalt-black-friday-2021-tool-deals/ .

Kicking myself for missing the HD buy-two-batteries-get-a-free-tool kit for $199 deal that is now sold out, especially since it finally included two tools I had on my list.
Anyone seen any deals with the DCBL722 (blower) or the DCW600B router included?
jonahk
Thanks Stuart! I found the DCW600b router as part of the Lowe’s deal (20v starter kit + free tool). While not as nice as the HD promo was (HD had the 6ah + 4ah vs the Lowes 5ah x 2) it’s still getting me a hell of a deal on that router.
Now to find the blower on sale somewhere….

I would buy the DeWALT 20V MAX* 10 Tool Combo Kit – DCK1020D2 for my oldest son. He is looking into buying his first home in the near future, a handiman type of house, and really needs good quality tools.

We need the Tough Series screwdriver set because our good set magically disappeared. This time, no lending tools I guess!
