Right now, there are a ton of Husky hand tool deals over at Home Depot, as part of their Black Friday 2020 sale.
As discussed in an earlier post, ToolGuyd is in a paid partnership with Husky Tools and Home Depot.
To help share news about the ongoing Husky tool promos, I skipped my way to Home Depot with a shiny new gift card to spend. I bought a couple of things for review, and some tools for personal use as well.
Do you know what I always like about Home Depot’s Husky Black Friday tool deals? There is always a good deal I can personally take advantage of.
I could tell you that there’s something for everyone, that the bargains are unbeatable, and that you should absolutely check out Husky’s current tool promos even if you usually favor a different brand. And, all that would be true.
It took me some time, but I narrowed down a list of the 5 BEST Husky hand tool deals for the 2020 Black Friday and holiday shopping season.
Don’t worry, I also have a long list of their other current promotions at the end of the post.
This Husky 270pc mechanics tool sets looks to be one of the biggest Husky mechanics tool bargains I have come across so far.
It comes with 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ drive ratchets, 148 sockets, 14 wrenches, and 105 accessories.
Look – I’m a “I’ll piece together my own kit kind of person.” But most people aren’t. A lot of DIYers start out not knowing exactly what tools they need, how big of a mechanics set they want, or which accessories they will end up using post.
With this set, you don’t need to think about much – you get a whole lot of bang for your buck. It’s a fantastic springboard for some, and the only set others will ever need.
If this set doesn’t work out well for you, what other direction would you go in?

Husky sent over a 10pc set of these 3/8″ drive thin wall deep impact sockets for review purposes recently, and while I haven’t been able to put them through the paces just yet, they seem quite nicely made and priced very well.
The 10pc SAE and 10pc metric socket sets are priced at $25 each, and are said to be on sale from $30. Each set comes with 10 sockets, a storage rail, and 1/4″ hex to 3/8″ adapter.
$25 x 2 = $50. That’s not bad for a 20pc set of deep impact sockets.
But wait, Home Depot and Husky have this 20pc combined set on sale for $38? That seems to be an exceptionally good value!

I have plenty of precision screwdrivers, duplicates even. Technician screwdrivers, mini hex, Phillips, slotted, Torx, you name it!
Even so, I still come across smaller fastener styles and sizes that my regular precision screwdrivers just don’t cover.
For example, I had to replace the plastic strip that covers the hinge of my laptop, and I needed 2 specialty screwdriver tip sizes. Or was it three? My typical precision screwdrivers couldn’t help me.
This Husky 25pc precision screwdriver set covers sizes that I use regularly and quite a few that I haven’t used and might never. But, should the time come when I need an odd size, this one might just get me out of a bind.
And of course, if you don’t have any precision screwdrivers, that’s another reason to consider this set.
I took a close look at it, and just couldn’t say no to its $9.88 price tag.
I recently posted about a Home Depot deal on Milwaukee electrical pliers, and a couple of people wrote in, asking about the lower priced Husky 6-in-1 electrical pliers and how it compared.
The closer I looked at these pliers, the harder it was to pass them up. (I bought a pair – ask away with any questions!)
Husky’s electrical pliers features long nose gripping jaws, a reaming head for deburring conduit, wire stripping holes, a wire cutter, machine screw cutter, and crimping jaws.
The only downside – once these sell out, they might be gone for good. I bought a set of Husky insulated screwdrivers 4 years ago, and have never seen them sold since then.
There is such strong interest in these Husky pliers that I would think they’ll be restocked after the holiday season. But if not, you might miss out if you hesitate.
Do you remember how I said there’s always something for everyone? For me, this set of Husky 1/4″ hex drive socket adapters was simply too good to pass up.
I have a couple of different impact wrenches (mainly test and review samples), and a smattering of impact sockets in different sizes and drive styles.
For smaller projects, I often don’t want to have to think about the tools I’m using, and so I’ll reach for my trusty personal-use impact driver and track down a fitting impact socket.
OR, I might want to use a shallow socket with a cordless screwdriver. Either I don’t have the proper size nutdriver accessory at the ready, or I have one but decide it’s not a good fit for the job.
One problem comes up, more often than it should – I’ll have a socket and I’ll have an adapter, but not ones that fit together. If I have a 1/2″ socket in my hand, I’ll only be able to find a 3/8″ adapter. Or if I have a 3/8″ socket, I might find 1/4″ and 1/2″ adapters.
I can’t tell you why, but my chrome non-impact-rated tools and accessories are very well organized. But my impact tools and adapters? I have bits and pieces, as I haven’t built a proper kit for myself yet.
Even when I’m using chrome hand sockets, I’ll usually need an impact-rated size adapter.
I’m tired of always trying to find the right adapter.
When I came across this Husky adapter set, I just knew it would be *perfect* for my needs. It comes with short and long impact socket adapters in 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ drive sizes. The 1/4″ hex shanks fit impact drivers, cordless screwdrivers, and drill/drivers.
The price was also too good to pass up! $10? Take my money! Technically I was spending Home Depot’s money, since they handed me a gift card to help with my research efforts for this post, but still. Great deal.
Other Husky Tool Deals I Bought
I’ve always been curious about this small Husky 12V rechargeable ratchet. Seems compact and surprisingly affordable.
Husky’s 28pc wrench set looked to be a great price. I got these for review purposes, and they will tentatively make it into either a portable tool set or a tool box my kids will be allowed to access.
