As was the case last year, Makita has pulled back on their Black Friday tool deals, but there are still some good bargains.
Most of this year’s Makita Black Friday deals feature 18V LXT cordless power tools, but there are also some XGT cordless power tool deals, and also accessory deals. Makita MakTrak tool boxes are also on sale right now.
Be sure to check back on Black Friday and Cyber Monday – I don’t expect there to be any surprises in the form of flash sales or doorbusters, but maybe there will be come coupons that bring discounts to additional Makita tools and gear.

If you don’t find the bargain you’re looking for here, there are plenty more deals from competing brands.

Home Depot’s free tool promos are always among the best tool deals of the season. The combo kit is new this year, featuring Makita’s latest and greatest brushless impact driver.
Buy an 18V Starter Kit, Get a FREE Tool or Battery – $199
Buy an 18V Brushless Hammer Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit, Get a FREE Tool or Battery – $399
If you’re thinking “but I just want a lower price on the combo kit,” last year’s combo kit is discounted at Home Depot, and also Acme Tools. Frankly, the discount isn’t big enough – I’d go for the free tool deal.

I found a couple more Makita deals at my Home Depot store. I wouldn’t bother finding an associate to open the cages – it’s easier to order online.
18V X2 Brushless Rear Handle Circular Saw – $359
18V 2-Tool Cordless Combo Kit – $359

18V 2Ah Battery – $79
50pc Impact XPS Screwdriver Bit Set – $25
4-1/2″ Angle Grinder with Paddle Switch – $79

Acme Tools has some Makita deals checking out too.
Buy the Makita 18V X2 Cordless Track Saw Kit, Get a FREE Battery 2-Pack
Buy the Makita 18V X2 Cordless Track Saw Bundle, Get a FREE Battery 2-Pack – similar but also has a 55″ guide rail
New Deals on Makita 18V Cordless Power Tools and Batteries

Buy any 2 eligible Makita XGT cordless power tools, get a FREE 40V Max brushless router. Following are the 8 woodworking tools that are eligible at Acme Tools.
Barrel Grip Jig Saw
Cordless Planer
2-1/4″ Brushless Plunge Router
Plunge-Cutting Track Saw
D-Handle Jig Saw
Starlock Oscillating Multi-Tool
6-inch Random Orbital Sander
6-1/2″ Cordless Circular Saw
Buy a Makita 7.2V Cordless Screwdriver, Get a FREE 12V LED Flashlight Lantern
Buy a Different Makita 7.2V Cordless Screwdriver, Get a FREE 12V LED Flashlight Lantern
Here’s the catch: the freebie is a 12V Max lantern/flashlight, and it doesn’t look to come with a battery. Makita’s website says the light runs for up to 8 hours with a BL1014 battery. Makita changed over to the modern CXT platform over 10 YEARS AGO, so what good is this freebie?

It looks like ALL Makita MakTrak tool boxes and organizers are on sale right now.
Additionally, Home Depot has a new promo:
FREE Makita MakTrak Tool Box with Select Cordless Power Tool Purchase

Here are 2 more deals at Acme:
Buy a Makita Cordless Nailer and Starter Kit, Get a FREE Battery, Radio, or MakTrak
Buy 2 Makita Tools, Get a FREE 5Ah Battery
The nailer deal seems like a good buy if you were looking to buy a Makita 18V brushless nailer and didn’t already have batteries and a charger. Even if you do, these bundles can let you get the Makita jobsite radio for a discount since it’s priced higher than the cost of the eligible starter kit.
What about Amazon?
All I’ve seen so far – with respect to Makita Black Friday discounts – is a flash sale discount on the Makita Outdoor Adventure 18V compact flashlight and USB charger.

I know for Makita there’s never a lot of deals but I appreciate you finding them.
Stuart
There used to be a lot more Makita deals, but some are better than none.
russ
check around for local dealerships, my local tiny lumberyard has all these deals and better prices. Plus more options for free tools.

Appreciate the roundup! You posted about it before separately but the drill/impact kit with their newest impact (XDT20) plus a free tool really is a good one

20 years ago “get the makita” was the phrase when real power was needed on the job site. Still have a soft spot for them, even if I’ve built out my own collection on red.

I don’t get why you’d pay $180 extra to get the free tool deal? Last years model can be found for $218. Makes no sense unless you want people to buy the $400 so you get more in your affiliate rake.
Stuart
I don’t know where you’re shopping, but $399 has been the de facto price for the 2-tool combo kit for years.
Some qualifying tools in “free tool” promos *are* given price hikes to avoid abuse of return policies, but I haven’t seen that with Makita here. Consider a mid-year comparison from a few years ago in May: https://toolguyd.com/makita-40v-xgt-18v-cordless-hammer-drill-impact-driver-comparison/ – the 18V combo was $399 then too.
Last year’s model is now $359 at authorized dealers because it’s last year’s model and is presumably being discounted to sell through remaining inventory. I checked a bunch of authorized retailers and none have it for lower than that.
I don’t care if readers buy or not buy anything. The goal is to entice visitors with helpful info that could potentially convert them into regular readers.

you’re getting 3 tools and 2 x 5.0 batteries, and the updated Impact driver is awesome.
