Are you really that surprised?
Most people are going to go for the $99 kit, and that’s the best one right now.
The Milwaukee is a great tool, but it has a brushed motor while the Dewalt XR has a brushless motor.
The Milwaukee has a speed dial, and the Dewalt XR a variable speed trigger and 3 speed ranges. Those are just two ways of control. The Dewalt Atomic version has a variable speed trigger but no range setting and so you need to hold constant pressure to achieve the desired operating speed.
There could be other deals later in the season (I’m waiting and watching for them).
I also included the other special buys for anyone who has different needs or wants outside of the Dewalt XR kit.

Just buy on amazon. I get mine from bullyblades. It’s a veteran owned company and depending on how many you buy could be around a dolllar a blade. Same quality as a $15 blade without all the b.s.

I have the DCS356 (which I purchased for $99 from a deal posted this site in the past) it’s a great tool. I’ve probably cut 100 holes for outlets and switches with it in drywall and plywood and highly recommend it.

The m12 Milwaukee is one fine tool. No vibration and nice footprint with the smaller battery.

I ended up getting the M12 FUEL one, I really like the Dewalt and have heard nothing but stellar comments about it but I don’t want to carry around a different battery/charger when everything else is already Milwaukee

The M12 Fuel is definitely a great tool. The kit’s regularly $219, and so while $179 doesn’t seem like “doorbuster” pricing, it’s still a very good buy.

I noted in the other post that it was $189, but it’s been fluctuating. It’s now $191. Still better than $199.
First it was $189 via CPO on Amazon, but CPO had it for $199 on their site. Acme has it published as a $199 special buy.
The price is too uncertain for me to label as $189 – I can’t say if that’s the lowest holiday price, or if temporary algorithm discounts are at play here, especially with the price as $191.18.

I wish there was a deal on the naked M12 Fuel OMT. I have enough M12 batteries and chargers already. That’s why I want that tool over the DeWalt in the 1st place.

I should caution that there might not be any deals on the bare tool. I’d keep the kit in the back of my mind, just in case.

DeWalt is very frustrating. This kit is nice, but doesn’t have the depth guide or sanding attachment or the cool box to store the accessories…nor do they even sell the starter box separately. I want this oscillating multi-tool, but will have to buy a different bundle or go cordless….neither of which are discounted, so I guess I am not buying one this time. It doesn’t make as much sense when you take a closer look.
