Black & Decker Matrix Storage Case

Are you one of the many people that bought into Black & Decker’s Matrix line of modular power tools? Good news – a new hard case that holds a Matrix base handle and all of the current tool attachments will soon be available.

It looks like the case can fit the 12V or 20V power handles, as well as the circular saw, oscillating multi-tool, drill/driver, impact driver, jigsaw, sander, and router attachments.

The case has a clear lid and what look to be two metal latches.

Price: ~$40-45

What I’m wondering is whether Black & Decker plans to release a complete Matrix tool kit for the holidays that includes this case as part of a bundle.

It’s nice they came out with this for the people that have the matrix system. The only thing is the price I think unless you the guy that likes to be super organized most diy/home owners are going to balk at the $45 price point. The best deal like you mentioned is a possibility of a tool kit is probably going to be the best deal.

So stanley/black and decker didn’t think it would be good to have this case click onto the Fatmax/dewalt Deep Pro Organizer? Seems they missed another opportunity to build value into their storage system market.

    like this…..

So just another plastic case that will clutter up the work space i think.

Soooo…I think I see the charger, but not where all the extra batteries go. Or the 8″ chainsaw, come to think of it. Not actually part of the switchable Matrix system, but having the batteries influenced my choice of 8″ cordless chainsaw.

Right now I keep my drill and the batteries in a utility bag. Shock horror 🙁 but it’s easy to grab The accessories & chainsaw are in a plastic tub that’s easy to grab, too, when I’m going to be doing more than drilling.

…I have a lot of plastic tubs and utility bags.
