Best Black Friday 2017 Cordless Power Tool Kits

Nov 21, 2017 Stuart 23 Comments

If you buy something through our links, ToolGuyd might earn an affiliate commission.

There are so many cordless power tool deals for Black Friday 2017 and the following holiday season, that I felt compelled to sort out the best ones.

If you know of a good cordless power tool combo kit deal that you think should be included, please don’t hesitate to let us know!

For now, I will focus on the deals so good that I’d buy them without hesitation. I’ll try to expand upon the post as I can.

Ridgid Brushless Combo, Special Edition

Ridgid 18V Gen5X Brushless Power Tool Combo Kit

This new 4-tool set is going to be $299 for Black Friday. It comes with all-brushless tools – a hammer drill/driver, 3-speed impact driver, 4-1/2″ angle grinder, 7-1/4″ circular saw, (2) 4.0Ah battery packs, charger, and carrying case.

It’s a pretty good price for what you get, and the cool color scheme is icing on the cake.

Even the charger is a special edition color!

This is a good deal at $399. At $299, which will go live on Thanksgiving, it’s a great deal.

Makita 7-Tool Combo, XT706

Makita XT706 Cordless Combo Kit

This Makita 18V 7-tool combo kit is their heavily-promoted holiday season special, selling for $399.

It’s a good standout among other seasonal kits priced around $399. But make no mistake, this set was likely designed to sell at $399. I could be wrong, but what else am I supposed to conclude – this combo didn’t exist before the 2017 holiday shopping season, and that usually tells you a lot about a product.

Home Depot Dewalt 2 Free Power Tools Promo Banner Holiday 2017

With the 7-tool Dewalt combo sold out everywhere at the moment, Home Depot’s bonus cordless power tool promo is the next-best Dewalt cordless combo kit deal right now.

ALL of the options are sold out right now, but I only hope that they intentionally halted to deal so as to save inventory for Black Friday and the rest of Thanksgiving weekend.

Dewalt 20V Max Brushless 7-Tool Promo Combo Kit

While we’re talking about out of stock deals, this Dewalt 7-tool cordless power tool combo kit is the best deal of its kind that I remember seeing any Black Friday or holiday shopping season. Hopefully they’ll restock soon.

Buy Now(via Home Depot)

There’s a smaller and non-brushless kit at Amazon that looks to have all the makings of a Black Friday or Cyber Monday deal.

Other Deals?

There’s guaranteed to be a couple of “deal of the day” types of deals, where a 4-9-tool kit is discounted. Generally, these kits are very good buys, even though they don’t often feature the latest or greatest tools.

If you know of a cordless power tool combo kit that should be added to this list of “best of the best,” please let us know!

Hitachi KC18DG6LPA 18V 6-Tool Cordless Combo Kit

Paul mentioned Hitachi’s 18V 6-tool combo. (Thank you Paul!) This has been on my radar, and I had looked at Hitachi’s 4-tool kit as well, but there are simply too many deals I’ve been wanting to post about, and not enough time.

The tools in this combo are fairly standard. Although the drill and impact are “nothing special,” for lack of a better way of putting it, they’re reasonably spec’ed, and should be capable.

I’d consider this a “great bang for the buck” kit, but there might be other cordless power tool combo kit lightning deals or “special buys” that compete with it on even ground.

This kit comes with Hitachi’s newest compact 3.0Ah Li-ion battery packs, and two of them. Those higher capacity but-also-slim battery packs increase this kit’s appeal. So does the fact that spare or replacement batteries won’t hurt your wallet too much.

Price: $299

There’s also a 4-tool combo kit, for $199. It looks to feature the same drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw, and LED flashlight, but lacks the circular saw or jig saw.

The Dewalt 2 + 2 deals all show on Home Depot’s site as sold out on line and not available in the stores.

      I did say:

ALL of the options are sold out right now, but I only hope that they intentionally halted to deal so as to save inventory for Black Friday and the rest of Thanksgiving weekend.

Or it could be Home Depot preferring for customers to shop only in stores, but that doesn’t seem as plausible.

I got the dewalt 2 + 2 yesterday in store. None were out on display, and I was told there may have been 1 more set in the store. I’m at home depot almost daily, and 3 different locations had none on display.

That Ridgid deal is a steal! $300 for four brushless, most used power tools is a great buy. Sending this to all my friends who may be interested.

I’m thinking that the Ridgid is a steal. The normal (orange) Brushless kit sells for $279(currently with a free add on tool) so for $20 more you get the murdered out kit plus the two tools…. No brainer for those on the market for Ridgid.

Nope. I’ve been on the lookout for a “free bonus battery” deal on that combo, at the least. Haven’t seen any promo on it yet.

I missed the Milwaukee 9 Tool deal for $599 last year and I’m still pissed :). I’ve since bought nicer tools individually but still feel the sting. Despite everything I still love my dewalt 12v vsnthe Milwaukee 12v much more! The lights on the “chuck” is so much better than the Milwaukee placement

Surprised I don’t see the Hitachi 6 piece kit on here for $299. Has (2) 3.0c Ahr Lithium batteries, only $39.99 more if you want extra ones. Hammer Drill, Impact, Circ. Saw, Recip. Saw, Jigsaw, LED Light, (2) Batteries and a charger!!!
They all seem to have great reviews online as well. I’ll take 6 tools over 4 and a lower replacement battery. I also like their Lifetime warranty.

I would not even consider that Ridgid set over the Makita set. Makita set is practically free, as it would cost about 1200-1250€ over here, if everything was to be bought separately.

I remember long ago buying the Makita “Grand Champion Kit” which is pretty much the Makita kit above but had a jigsaw instead of a grinder and it did not have an impact driver.

    It was $799 🙁

Don’t feel bad – I bet you got a lot of use out if it! If you ordered last week, that’s a different story, but you said “long ago.”

I would add the deals at home Depot where you buy a tool combo and choose two more tools free.

    Milwaukee:

The M18 kit is an older brushed set but solid.

No good Makita deals ? For black Friday? I was also hoping the sub compact kit would be on sale however I think Millwakki fuel 12 is a better kit and right now you get a free tool with it at 199

There are plenty. In addition to the one above, there’s the “buy a combo, get bonus tools” deal.

I’m curious about the kobalt 24v combos. The drill and impact combos or the 6pc. Anyone have any experience with these?
