Thanksgiving and Black Friday are just days away now. There are always great deals on portable table saws, and this year’s no different. While we cannot predict what “lightning deals” might be planned for this year, we do know of a couple of deals already.
Some of the deals are already live, others are set to kick off on Thanksgiving Day, or Friday in stores. The Black Friday deals kick off 11/22/2018.
If you know of any other table saw deals, please let us know!

Isn’t there a % off Skil products running from someone as well, that’d include their offering. Yes?
https://www.toolnut.com/on-sale/skil-20-off-sale/skil-saws/skilsaw-spt99-11-10-heavy-duty-worm-drive-table-saw-with-stand.html
I don’t know if that technically counts as a “black friday” deal though.
Stuart
Yes, but I’m hoping to see better pricing before commenting. Tool Nut has to add $100 for shipping, resulting in a net discount of just $14.
Readers weren’t too excited about this deal when I posted about it in October. https://toolguyd.com/skilsaw-worm-drive-portable-table-saw-deals-102018/
Jordan
Hopefully there is a better price out there.
Adam
I contacted ToolNut and tried to explain to them that their pricing wasn’t competitive, but they didn’t seem to get it. The same saw with a better blade is $499 + $49 shipping from Acme Tools.
Jordan
It’s also $499, free shipping + a $50 gift card from northern tool (if you add $1 to cart).

Royal “we”?
Stuart
Sometimes. Other times it’s a collective we.
Redcastle
Stuart
As in the collective me, myself and I?
As my parish priest used to say my favourite committee is a committee of three, one dead, one in hospital and me.
Stuart
Well, do YOU know of any other table saw deals that have yet to be revealed? Me neither. We.
But other times, “we” is ToolGuyd.
Redcastle
Stuart
I undoubtedly know of table saw deals of which you are unaware but the information if not relevant to you as they are in the UK, and yes we now have “black Friday” over here and some morons have been asking why the UK does not celebrate Thanksgiving.
Mind you following the recharacterisation of the Celtic festival of Samhain to become Halloween and it’s complete commercialisation, I was laughing when I saw advertisements to celebrate the Day of the Dead in an Essex town, the expression no one ever went broke underestimating the stupidity of the public springs to mind.
Of course the flip side is the social justice wimps (i refuse to call them warriors as they do not seem to realise it is supposed to be ironic) shouting about cultural appropriation.
My point is that it should have said I as you were speaking solely of your own knowledge rather than we and Toolguyd is not to my knowledge a legal entity therefore it cannot be a we or for that matter an I.
ToolGuyd
We think, therefore I am.
Stuart
I agree with them.
Mike
Trying to decide between the Dewalt DW745 and the Ridgid R45171NS. The Dewalt was $269 without stand, the Ridgid is $199 without stand.
Been reading number of reviews and they are mixed. Is the Dewalt worth the extra $70?
Thanks
Stuart
Unfortunately, it’s increasingly difficult to find stores where you can check out these tools firsthand, to evaluate the table saws’ fences and adjustments.
If you can budget for the Dewalt, it’s an excellent saw. I don’t have any experience with the Ridgid.
Mike S
My view of the adjustments – the Rigid is better. Which will cut better or last longer – I can’t say…
The Rigid fence adjusts very smoothly, and it locks securely and easily. The tilt mechanism is much better, in my opinion as well. As for the guards operation – I’m not sure, but I’ve not been a fan of what I’ve seen of Dewalt.
At my local HD – the associate was kind enough to offer to open up the Rigid to be examined when I pointed out that the display model was missing its fence. Maybe someone at your store would be as kind for your models if they aren’t on display – or, more likely, if the display has all of the parts zip tied together so that they don’t move and can’t be examined for operation…
If you search FamilyHandyman – they looked at a bunch of saws in this price range a couple years back and had thoughtful things to say on each.
Mike
Thanks, will do.
Mike S
The Rigid R45171 (and variants, like the R45171NS) have soft start.
The Rigid R4517 (and its variants) do not have soft start.
Also, Home Depot has the Milwaukee deal as well – its a little tricky in the wording, but unless the description / included list is not accurate – its the same deal as the others – buy the kit and get an additional 12 ah battery thrown in for $550:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-ONE-KEY-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-8-1-4-in-Table-Saw-Kit-with-Free-High-Output-12-0Ah-Battery-2736-21HD-48-11-1812/306638651
That kit is a sweet deal if you really just want the 12.0 batteries – the best pricing for the batteries / fast charger is $200 for one battery, and $249 for a battery/charger kit (which throws in a 6.0 battery as well). So – you’re getting $400 or $449 worth of battery/charger – *and* for another $100/$150 you get a portable table saw with a 5 year warranty….

The 7480 DeWalt usually goes on sale for $300 and includes the stand, it gives more width and you can adjust even wider by a few inches, but you lose the dado setup, but there is a work around.
I was really hoping to get a great deal on the DeWalt flexvolt tablesaw and batteries this year,. Seems Milwaukee really beat them with the new DC tablesaw they put out. It has so many great features, man i really do NOT want to have another platform to deal with but DeWalt is driving me away.
Love the battery powered tablesaws, hope DeWalt puts them on sale!
Stuart
It went on sale for $329 last year, and it was a “deal of the day” in December for $299. It happened that one time. It could be on sale again this year, but there’s no way to predict that.
ToolOfTheTrade
I just picked up the ryobi 10″ precision bts3000 at a yard sale for $20 this morning on my way to work. Old school shop grade ryobi. They don’t make them like this anymore. It may not be as shiny as all of these, but it’s all metal and there’s no plastic parts or components. It came with an extruded aluminum 18″ adjustable miter fence with a sliding table, built in routing and accessories table, rip fence, riving knife blade guard, etc. And its all in good shape and it works great and the blade bearings are still good. None of the brands mentioned above make anything like it. Even came with a heavy duty stand. Damn thing weighs almost as much as the saw does. I’ll probably convert it into a welding table or something. Too bad they don’t make stuff like this anymore and too bad tools like this (shop grade and industrial) are never mentioned here. Who knows, there might be something like this available in your neck of the woods. You certainly won’t find a deal like this sitting on your ass reading dealguyd. BTW makita just released an 18vx2 brushless chop saw (1st one on the market) as well as an 18vx2 brushless 7″ angle grinder in case anyone is interested or wants to know about some new tools that will be available soon or want to know about something other than sales ads.
Ryan
Have you been hiding under a rock? Brushless cordless miter saws and grinders have been out for years now, and Makita was definitely not the first to market on that.
Stuart
I thought you must have missed that post. https://toolguyd.com/makita-18v-x2-cordless-abrasive-chop-saw/
Jordan
Not a table saw.. but I’m going to go ahead and throw this out here ?????
https://www.toolbarn.com/metabo-hpt-c3610dram.html/
Stuart
It’s also available at Acme Tools.
There’s also another version with adapter and an added free battery rebate.
It seems that the first link gives you the miter saw plus AC adapter or 36V starter kit, the second gives you the miter saw plus an AC adapter, plus a free battery via rebate (but no charger), for the same price.
Jordan
In my cart it currently shows it coming with ac adapter, battery and charger. ?
Jordan
The tool barn deal*
Stuart
Ah, nice! So you get the tool, starter set, and adapter. Sounds like a good deal indeed.
Jordan
I’m buying it ? always very painful buying into a new, new platform but I feel like this is the holiday deal I’ve been waiting on.
Stuart
Good luck!!
Mike K
On the Kobalt KT1015 @ Lowes…clicked the buy now button & Lowes is showing $249 on their Black Friday listings…not $179??? Am I missing something??? Can you confirm $179?
Stuart
Lowes’ Black Friday sales go into effect 11/22/18. You could also check Wednesday night, as some deals have went live a little early.
https://toolguyd.com/lowes-black-friday-2018-tool-deals/
Mike K
Yeah. Thanks! I did figure that out. Lowe’s site says “Black Friday deals start now”, but I guess that’s only for certain items. Some are in-store only. Makes sense, but still confusing for dummies like me. 😉
Stuart
Not your fault. I also added a note about the start date in the post.
T
Anyone here have any comments on the kobalt saw ? I have a pretty good experience with kobalt tools thus far. Anyone here have one ?
Matt J
Revisiting this post, the deals on the Ridgid models and the Kobalt saw really stand out. Getting a jobsite saw with a decent fence and dust removal at less than $250 just doesn’t happen outside of Black Friday, it seems. The DeWalts seem to have basically fallen to this price or close to it on a full time basis.
Never realized the gear-based micro-adjustability of the bevel angle on the Ridgid models before now. Seems like a feature unique to them in the jobsite saw market, particularly at less than $300. I’d guess most people are using these saws pretty much for 90 or 45 degree cuts most of the time, so they can get by with just properly tuning the stops for those angles, but that’s a great feature for someone who wants to do some more detailed woodworking but can’t get a cabinet saw due to space or budget constraints.
