Boker Advent Calendars for 2025

Boker is back with 2 new build-a-knife advent calendars for 2025.

With these limited edition box sets, you get all of the parts needed to assembly your own folding pocket knife, plus additional parts for some customizations.

Boker provides step-by-step instructions, and also says there will be a video tutorial you can find online.

Update: Since posting about these advent calendars last night, the prices dropped from $170 each to $130.

Boker Catalyst Knife Advent Calendar

Boker 2025 Advent Calendar Catalyst Knife

Boker says that this set goes back to the original Catalyst and is given a neoclassical twist.

The set comes with all of the parts you need to build a fully-functional lockback pocket knife, and includes 2 blade options, with one featuring a nail nick, different handle scales and bolsters, pocket clips, and “a few little surprises.

Price: $169.96

The Boker Urban Tracker set is also described as having been given a neoclassical twist.

This button-lock knife is also customizable, featuring one blade, different handle scales and bolsters, pocket clips, and “a few little surprises.”

What’s the difference? One is a lock-back knife, and the other is a button-lock. Other than that, you have to squint at the box art to get a feel for the different styling. You can find images with some closeup details on the product pages, but I have yet to see comparison images of the knives side by side yet. I guess that’s part of the surprise factor.

Boker says the advent calendars are a great gift for knife collectors and any knife fan.

Some years the Boker advent calendar customizable knife sets sell out fairly quickly, and there was at least one year (2022) where it didn’t and went on sale for Cyber Monday. This year there are two options, and so it’s difficult to predict what will happen.

If you absolutely must get your hands on one, shop early.

Looking for something different? BladeHQ tends to be my first stop when shopping for new knives and EDC gear for myself or to test out. Let me know if you need suggestions or recommendations.

I did a few of these advent calendars in years past. Good knives. I don’t remember them costing $170 tho!
