For a limited time, Woodcraft is having a sale on Bora pistol grip bar clamps. The sale is for 25%-off, and ends on November 25th. Even better, coupon code 11230 gets you free shipping as well, until November 30th.

These look like decent clamps, and the price is pretty decent – $10.49 for the 6″ clamp, $11.99 for the 12″ one.

Meh, Craftsman and Irwin are better quality and can be had for less on sale.

If you’re talking about the 6″, then yes – I have two sets of Irwin QuickGrips that have served me well for a few years now and only cost $20 for four.

I was looking for a pair of 12″ clamps recently, and these Boras seemed to fit the bill nicely. They’re due to arrive in a few days, and a review will surely follow.

Stuart, whats your opinion on these clamps now that youve had them for a while?
I have lots (~20) of the similar Irwin blue and yellow clamps and like them a lot. How do these compare?

Between my Irwin simple-style bar clamps (w/o spreader) and Jorgensen ratcheting clamps, my Bora bar clamps are rarely used. They’re okay, and I would buy them again. If I favor Irwin clamps more, it’s because they are more widely available in the sizes I typically need.
