Over at Acme Tool, their 11% Bosch coupon takes an extra $18.59 off the price of the Bosch 12V Max cordless FlexiClick drill/driver set.
The final price: $150.41, plus shipping if you don’t bump your order over $199. Shipping over $199 is free.

It’s a good cordless drill, and the different head attachments make it very versatile. I don’t like to call it an x-in-1 tool, but it does eliminate the need for different tools in certain situations.
- 265 in-lbs max torque
- 0-400, 0-1300 RPM (no load)
- Weighs 1.8 lbs (presumably with battery)
- 5.4″ length
- LED worklight
- One-click attachment interface
It has a built-in 1/4″ hex bit holder and comes with 4 tool attachments – 1/4″ chuck, right angle adapter, drill chuck, offset driver adapter, and a locking bit holder attachment.
It launched at $199 (sorry for all you early adopters – I tried to convince Bosch to do something for you, but in the end the logistics would have been a nightmare), and was discounted to $169 last month.
$150.41 is still a little pricey compared to traditional 12V-class cordless drills, but the kit does cost less and takes up less space than separate tools. I’d like to call it a gift idea, but it’s more of a “I KNOW this is what I need or want” kind of kit.
I think that the price went from $199 to $169 because Bosch wasn’t seeing the sales volume they had been hoping for. Or maybe it was intended to sell at the $169 price all along. Either way, I’d be surprised to see the price drop further. Maybe there will be a flash sale or similar, but I doubt it. This isn’t exactly a “sell to holiday shoppers” kind of tool.
Anyways, for those of you who have been on the fence about the FlexiClick drill/driver system, now’s your time to save a little bit more.

It’d be sweet if the $30 off $149+ instant Amazon discount worked on this kit, but it doesn’t.

Looked at it in person at Lowes a few weeks ago; had been eagerly awaiting it’s arrival. hoping to replace both my aging Festool C12 kit with the chucks (but depleted batteries) as well as my Makita 12v CXT setup.
I’ve had Bosch 12v drivers in the past and hadn’t been too impressed, but am invested in using the 12v max system as the LED worklights are the best and I’ve got quite a few Milwaukee 12 items converted to use the Bosch batts: heated jacket, radio, 12volt power supply, plus an older Makita 7/16 stapler.
Went into Lowes to buy the Flexiclick set (Glad I didn’t now – $169 + tax)
but what held me back is the no belt clip issue. Absolutely need a belt clip for this type of tool.
Previously, I used the stretchy-strap/ball plus belt clip attachment on the Bosch drivers, but it made their already fat grips pretty UN-ergonomic. I’m hoping the Bosch brushless belt clip attach can be modified to work on the Flexi-click driver body, but no one locally has that in stock to inspect.
Anyone have any feedback as to that being a possibility please do tell.

The 12V Max tools deliberately don’t have a metal “belt clip” .
The best option if you need a way to keep the drill/driver handy is a holster.
I don’t like the metal belt clips anyway, they just tear up belts or jeans pockets, and scratch up a surface if you set them down on the clip side.

My Bosch PS22-02 driver has a metal belt clip.

Whoops, should have been more specific – the brushed 12V Max tools deliberately didn’t come with a clip.
To the original query, I don’t think the brushless clip/bit holder that attaches to the back of the brushless Bosch 12V tools will fit onto the brushed tools, but I haven’t seen any with the clip/holder attached to know for sure.

Maybe a holster like this one:

Forgot to add, I perused many tool sites the other day looking for the best deal on the Flexiclick setup and did find it at one for a shipped price of about $155. There are other sites that will apply the coupon and offer free shipping.

Depending on your area of the country (MI, WI, IL, IN, MN), Lowe’s is offering a 11% rebate on purchases until 11/22. I’m (real) dutch, so I’ll always get at least another 10% off taking my Dad with me or flirting with the cashier. I’d like to think I need this, and I do remember loving the Bosch 12v ergonomics, but I have way too many red tools. Sort of hoping I stumble across the Milwaukee variant of this tool sometime.
Julian, I’m surprised you consider their handles fat. I thought they were the most comfortable 12v system, and would consider the Milwaukee’s fatter, which is probably my only negative on the M12, but can live with it obviously. Any specific tutorials on your modding efforts?
If they weren’t like molasses getting brushless tools out, I probably would have stuck with them.

Adam, Looks like anyone should be able to order at Lowes.com to get the 11% discount. Then pick-up at your local store, if in stock, or free shipping.
If you need the offset driver or right angle features then there aren’t many options out there.

It’s pretty obvious that when it comes to most consumer products, including power tools, the MSRP isn’t ever the REAL price. Everything is almost constantly on “sale” for various prices throughout the year, so the MSRP is artificially high to make the “sale” price be the actual price they would sell it at without the gimmick.
$169 actually seems slightly high, I’d guess the kit will eventually go down to $159 or so, maybe even $150 or under.
I’ll probably wait and spring for this when the price goes down AND there’s an amazon promo to knock another $25-35 off and get it a lot closer to ~$110-120 or so. If not amazon, then Lowe’s will eventually have some kind of big discount and then stack a coupon with it.
fred
No deceptive advertising here??!!
English is a marvelous language – allowing you to say something is “on sale” – no matter what price you put on it – as long as you are offering it for sale. I guess it would not be “on sale” only if you had none to sell.
Stuart
The worst marketing language, in my opinion, is “up to x% off.”
I complained to an Amazon contact, because they were including the Gerber Center Drive in an “up to 20% off” sale, but its final price was the same $90 as it has been since launch. They told me that it had on occasion been priced higher. And probably coincidentally, it had dropped by $5 to $85 before their response came in.
They’re done that before – “up to x% off Dewalt tools” and such, with no obvious discounts, or at least none unique to Amazon at the time.
fred
Again the wonder of the English language!
A price increase (a negative percentage off) would also qualify for being up to 60% off.

Like some I prefer to keep my tools in L-Boxxes or Systainers. I have a lot of Bosch and Festool so I am debating between this kit and the CXT. Does anyone know if I purchase the UK kit with the L-Boxx would it be compatible over here? Is the charger the only difference or are the UK batteries different as well? Thanks in advance.
Richard
The charger is the only difference. I buy all my Bosch tools from Europe.
Andrew
DANG! Already ordered from a US seller, had a 20% off coupon just bit the bullet and bought. I have an extra L-Boxx to put it in just no inlays. Any secret to getting the inlays from across the pond? I haven’t found anyone in the US to sell them. I would like to put all my tools in L-Boxxes with the inlays rather than Kaizen or pick and pull foam. This includes drills, routers, saws etc. I have all the part numbers ready to go but can’t find someone to purchase from.
Thanks again for the info, looks like I’ll start finding European sellers for these tools. I hate NAINA.
